Very nice speech. Horribly given, but nice speech.
-
And Barry Melrose breaks the news that Matt signed with the Maple Leafs and will play with them tomorrow.
-
That was the first one I was talking about. You could tell Hakstol wanted to tell him it was a stupid question.
-
I'm 10 minutes in so far, and there have already been two stupid and/or biased questions.
-
I've got my playlist on shuffle and Van Halen's "Right Now" just came on. I can't help but think about the Sioux coming out of the tunnel whenever I hear the intro to this song. IS IT THURSDAY YET!?
-
I think something that's been overlooked in this thread, at least as far as I've seen, is the fact that a "wolverine" is actually just a big weasel. Anybody wanna do anything with that?
-
Remember, that'll only be tickets for the championship game that they'll be selling. The two semi-final games use the same ticket, and there is no re-entry. Is it Thursday yet?!

So what's the real reason for all the Sioux bashing

I was sitting one section to your left and I saw him making his way down the stairs. I, too, couldn't tell if he was absolutely hammered or if he was handicapped. -

Makes things nice, doesn't it? -

I think you're on to something here. Most people don't know what it's like to really be part of a passionate fanbase. Sure, you can be a diehard fan of your local professional sports team, but what connection do you really have? You live in the same city or state, therefore you're a fan. But you still really have no real connection. With a school, you are part of that institution. While you're not part of the team, there's definitely more connection to it. When somebody says something bad about it, you take it a bit more personally. Seems like Sioux fans foster that type of intensity and it doesn't seem to exist at most schools. Once a Sioux fan, always a Sioux fan. But with a lot of schools, it seems to me, once you leave the school, the fans couldn't care less what's going on there. -
Not a fan of Lacrosse?

Would the pre-game rally be before the 4pm game? For those who go to both semi-finals, we wouldn't be able to go to anything, because even the Rivercentre would require leaving the gates of The X.
-
Upper on the side, but near the corner. There aren't actually any corner seats in the upper level at The X. I could be in the last row of the upper deck and I wouldn't care, as long as I'm there.

Well, Cam is probably 3rd in the voting, so maybe they'll pull him from the Hattrick and give it to Connelly, just for fum.
-
My tickets came today, which is even more amazing since I bought them from Ticketmaster on Sunday after our game ended. I wasn't expecting a big folder. Pretty cool.
-
It's going to be a looooong week and a half.
-
How many times during the game will Denver ice the puck and try to change players, thereby requiring the refs to take the time to figure out who is supposed to be on the ice, which will give the Denver players a chance to rest anyway? I've seen George pull this stunt three or four times. It should be a delay of game penalty.

"A member of the kitchen staff, who was clearly an under-cover Sioux fan, purposely burned some food so that the fire alarms would go off waking the Denver hockey players and sending them out into the cold while the hotel was checked by the fire department."
-
I don't blame him one bit for having that thought. But it's great to know it wasn't.
-
I beleive they do, but have the Sioux ever worn black when they're the home team?
-
Thanks so much for showing the game today! It was a lot of fun in Bloomington surrounded by all the green!
-
That was a good line by Melrose. Clay said something like "The PP has been Union's bread-and-butter all season long". Barry said "The bread got moldy".
-
I think this is probably true. There are three "inconvenient" games. Two on Thursday and the Friday afternoon game. Plus, I don't think attendance was actually what they announced at either of the Sioux games. Maybe that's how many tickets they sold (which is all they care about) but there were definitely a ton of open seats in the 200 level.

Used to be called ESPN 360. It's just the streaming for stuff the produce but don't have room for on one of their cable channels.
-
It would be much better for my heart if this is the case, giving Dell the shutout, of course.
