Overall I'd agree with this but I thought they were very one-sided after that scrum. Hankinson's voice annoys me, though. But that's not his fault.

Blood didn't flatten a player in front of the net. They tangled up and the Gopher player can't skate, so he fell down. Blood did plenty AFTER that happened, but the whole scrum started when Frattin got pissed at Wehrs. Yea, Frattin should have had a penalty, and Blood should have, too, for what he did after the scrum started. But Blood didn't start any of it.

These FSN announcers are awful. They need to take their maroon colored glasses off. If they can't see that Wehrs taking Frattin into the net is what started the whole thing, then they're bigger idiots than I thought.

Apparently an appropriate response to a bump after the whistle is to swing your stick at the opposing player's head. I guess I learn new things every day.

That was a horrible call! That wasn't even close to a crosscheck. That was a Gopher dive.

I think you're right. I saw him snap his head back a few times trying to act like he got hit up high or hooked.

Blood maybe, but you should let somebody crosscheck you in the ribs/kidney and see if you go down.

I've never actually seen that happen before (with the double minor/minor 5-on-3), but it makes total sense. Too bad we couldn't capitalize again.

So I missed last night's game and I don't really want to read through the whole game thread so could somebody give me some quick comments on the first two gopher goals? Were they defensive breakdowns? Bad goaltending? Good rebounds? Lucky shots?

FSN has the ND Governer on with Marnie right now. Pretty good interview, actually, since Marnie is from western North Dakota.

RMU defensemen don't look like they're used to physical play like this. When Chay went back to try to shove the puck in, the defenseman gave him a bit of a push, but then kinda stood back and didn't really protect his goalie. This was even before the whistle blew, because as soon as the whistle blew, Chay stepped back, but at least he kept playing until he heard the whistle.

Kristo made one or two too many moves on that attempt.
