Anybody else see that hit? The UMD player jumped and hit the Sioux player very high up. Is that legal to do? I know it's illegal to jump when checking against the boards but is open ice allowed?

Another power play!

Both guys went in at the exact same time. So, according to nodak hockey fanatic, it was a power play goal, then the Sioux were up 5-on-4 for a couple seconds following the faceoff after the goal.

As soon as the goalie's leg went out you could almost see how big Hextall's eyes got and he JUMPED at the puck to pick up the trash. 2-1 Sioux. 9:00 left in the 3rd

Good thing UAA doesn't have Frazee on their team or there'd be another two goals with all these ~200 foot shots.

It's pretty clear that Walski has a hell of an uphill climb ahead of him if he wants to play again this year. Although, the first two goals last night weren't entirely his fault. The defense didn't do a very good job of clearing the front of the net for him to see what was going on.
