Yes...that's true....but a new Memorial with a roof and other amenities in the same place would have been awesome for both UND and the city plus it would be UND's baby. They have a steam plant and enough employees already paid. But that's allot of what if's and other issues. I don't think the Texas recruits would come here that's for sure! I chuckle when it gets 20 - 30 degrees and the people form up north are in sweatshirts, pullovers and the foreigners or southern people are in parka's!!

I think I'd have to agree with this one. While the Bison fans do not want to admit any wrong doing with their issues and it's far more than the President's house the Alerus is a nightmare! However...you will find the majority of people on this site that wish we could redo the vote and veto. It's a disaster...we know it...but the difference is we know it and admit it. Bison fans or at least some here are in denial. I still believe the citizens were frauded in they city leaders back then knew Ralph was donating the money but wanted this thing so bad and thought two domes in GF would be better than the one in Fargo.

Is there a kid out of Detroit Lakes that's good? Haven't looked myself but I've heard he's on the radar for DI schools. Not saying us....just that he's being watched and may have a chance. I don't recall but are there any ND kids on being watched for possible DI.

I'm surprised Cichy is sitting as much as he has this year. He was lighting it up last year but seems to have a tough time adjusting. The coaches must see something in Bruno that Cichy's not doing but Cichy seems to have a better chance at making plays.

A person has a class with Knight and that's what he told her. When did the injuries happen...they said it would be 4 weeks...I think...has it been? We can only hope as that would make the team very tough!! But their are no guarantee's she's right.

I heard both Hextall and Knight will be able to play this weekend. Nothing about Chay.....as usual.

I find it interesting that you tell us to let it go and your a Bison fan but if this was UND you'd be ripping us to hell and back for the stuff that's going on there. If your going to call an apple then it has to be an apple..not an orange this time vs. an apple that time.

That's what i've been thinking for awhile when I asked where have they gone for UND...the tier 1 guys.going to the NHL in 2-3 years. Now I think we've got a few in the pipeline but this years team is lacking. I didn't realize it but Oxbow pointed out that we've only scored 4 or more goals 9 times this year which shows we need some scorers. We've got grinders who need to grind harder to keep the other team below 2-3 goal to give us a chance. But isn't every team hopinjg for that???!!

I personaly think Hak has done a good job this year. We just don't have the talent like in the past. We've gto grinders. Oor best player is out and another scorer is out. There aren't true scorers on this team...proven at this level. UND like other elite schools has players that light it up in USHL and other places but then to step it up takes another level...some have it and some don't and that's the recruiting gamble gamble (see Lucia). Plus we're very young. When you've got Mario out on the power play you're in trouble. IMO he should have sat a few shifts after he came out of the box for the stupid penalty he took after the guy leveled him to get a penalty. It's a frustrating year and we're losing ground. If Chay comes back that could make up for allot of negatives. I do agree though that this trap !@#$ is for the birds!!

You're right it was Borman...my bad. I loved Players and my mind must have raced back to the good old days....except 20 years later. But Norman is the one who I heard was potentially involved. We'll see. I just don't see how they could afford the rent unless it's the first 6-9 month's free to build a base and only pay CAM charges.

Heard yesterday that Norman is involved in the prospective restaurant....he's the same person with Players and a few others along the way. We'll see if it turns out to be true.

Just Academy. Fabian does allot as well...maybe as much as Brad as he's on the treadmill and shows the boys how to properly use the machine. I've heard that Brad has opportunites to coach elsewhere but is committed to this and his family here in town. Brad said he wants this to help ND kids be as recognized as MN kids when it comes to hockey and moving to a higher level.

If he's projected to be that good the coaches should have one of our premier pro's call him up and let them know how good the program is at developing talent. Is that even legal with the NCAA?

Times have changed. Code issues have allot to do with things now and as time goes by it gets harder to build to the new codes...look at Judy's. That thing wouldn't make it with new codes for parking seating etc. A big problem with S49 is that as was stated above...it's state of the art and cost to much to build. They wanted a martini bar when built and college kids can't afford $6 drinks. The busiest the place was (non hockey night) when it was St. Patty's day or a New Years. Otherwise it was pretty empty. I see the worst thing going now is that it's been closed for what 3 years now?? As places are unoccupied bad things happen as maintanance is deferred.

Does anyone know if the game is available on the internet? We'd like to watch the game as we've scrapped all plansof going outside in -30 below.....yes that's actual. And why do we live here again?

I watched the game and WOW is that freshman good!! People talk about Luke around here but Coda is riding high right now. And against quality teams from cities. The Gophers have some good recruits for sure. I love that they show high school games. it's really fun to watch.

I'm actually curious who is "The Whistler"?? Sounds like a higher up somewhere. One thing to keep in mind is that it's built and we can't change that. The Alerus would not be here right now if everybody would have known that Ralph was building the Taj Mahal here in GF and that's a fact. But lets be honest about teh numbers we're given as taxpayers. And now another commission?? And what the heck is with the 6M in renovations to the outside....it's what they built with the money they were given originally. Typical government. Just keep voting till it gets past then spend excess money on what you wanted in the first place. Why not take the excess and pay down the debt??

We were at the games and Friday VV took two major hits...both legal and at the boards but his body wasn't braced for the second for sure. He then skated to the bench doing a stretch routine and made you think that he tweaked something. The Sat. game was bs. Jackson had a fit with the refs after the game and Eades had to take his arm and walk away. Hak was the last one off the ice walking sidways and wouldn't let his glare leave the refs. I think they're instructed to create parity!!!
