Well, that includes pretty much all of them, Goober. Lots of "courage" in numbers. Wow. So, the Sioux name/logo has morphed from being "hostile or abusive" to causing federal deficits, haphazard healthcare and regressive taxation. If you find a link to acne or head lice, you might actually have a win. This guy is in a doctoral program? Good lord, he's as pathetic as "Dr." Stephanie.

Why don't the gun owners provide their own locks, cases and other safety equipment if they're so responsible? As tragic as these events are, I have very little sympathy for people who maintain their guns in such a way that they allow their kids to get into them and off themselves or their sibling.

So you breathe through your gills, Aquaman?

Toews is benched for a broken finger? Good grief. Howe and Richard had their noses broken during games and still managed their next shifts.

"As an alum of the UND School of Law", I am deeply offended by the writer's poor grammar, illogical arguments and, as noted previously, underdeveloped research skills. Moreover, it doesn't appear EagleWoman is a member of the Minnesota Bar, so I hope her job at WalMart is working out.

If that's the case, get them really liquored up, dress them in 'su garb and turn them loose with pepper spray and tasers.

I think it's important that 9 UND students and staff, and probably 20 "imports" from St. Cloud and MSP have something to do besides drink decaf lattes and try out the new Birkenstocks.

Good for The Fraud. It's about time they've done something besides kiss Chapman's shoes.

Nobody will buy them because they're priced too inexpensively. The "shoe whores", usually people who collect multiple pairs of athletic shoes but never use them on a court or a field, will shun them in favor of more expensive flavors. Maybe Nike should have just made a sizeable $$$ donation to health agencies in Indian Country, and avoided the pretense of actually giving two sh&ts about Indians.

I think, in practical terms, the sides have probably been talking, and at times have been close. However, it's possible that given possible "skeletons" in the parties' closets, such as internal memos, depositions, etc., that the judge decided to effectively go dark with the proceedings to avoid petty, marginal issues getting in the way of a final resolution. As a practical matter, I'm surprised some media group hasn't already moved for a lifting of the order.

Obviously, YellowBird and her ilk don't think too highly of Native Americans, or their children.

Or when it seems to be such a short-term gig?

I tend to agree. I'd like to think that, if Buning is indeed gone, the same degree of thought and deliberation goes into the AD choice as goes into the presidential search. There's alot riding on both choices, in terms of money and reputation. The last thing the school needs is either of these searches to be muddied by demands for somebody with "UND ties", petty egos or the usual provincialism for which NoDak is so well known.

I think that's on every banner hanging in the National Concrete Center.

No, this is "desperation". I think the "Fat Lady" is warming up in the back room ... As for the Spirt Lake resolution, was Pearson even the president in 2000?
-
Bahahaha! Classic.

Ah, good to see the "anti-Buning" contingent has finally showed up.

No, actually, I've heard that when Lucia moves over to coach the Wild, Hakstol will take the Minnesota job. He'll be paid $500,000/year, get a brand new Escalade every year, a free membership at Interlachen, and the ability to fart strawberry scented rainbows. As well, he'll also be given the power to raise the dead and heal the sick, just like Lucia.

So, what is this, the third or fourth thread on this issue?
-
That's basically what I was aiming at, as it would probably be politically risky to dismantle the programs, so much as refuse to expand them or increase funding over time. Let SCCC take them on instead.

I've been thinking the same thing for some time myself. I detest the idea that UND should be beholden to the whims of tribal politics, and their often "hat in hand" mentality, which can change with the wind. If the name/logo go for any reason, I still see no reason for UND to continue its pandering on/off campus to these people, and think it might be liberating to abandon all pretense and cut ties to the tribes and reservations, and get rid of those silly programs and channel the funds to more worthwhile endeavours. F*** 'em.

So, Lloyd, that would still leave "those" as the whining, simpering minority. Good to see you lost your cajones when you entered academia. Or politics.
