I agree with Hockey Mom. I also live a short distance away from Mayville and know the inpact the college has on that town, and I know a few business owners there too. If something were to happen to that college, it would devastate the town of Mayville. I'd really hate to see something like that happen to another small community.

I'm in Coaches Club. The prices changed, and I'm still paying it. My thought here is, I'm going to see my favorite team play hockey (and football). It's a weekend of entertainment for my family and we love it. If you are concerned about the prices, you have a choice. Pay it or not. It's just like the gas pump or going out to eat. Prices go up. It's a fact of life. On the other hand...I haven't raised the prices of pizza in about 5 years, so save some money and have Papa Murphy's before the game!

College really is all about preparing for the next step in your life. That could mean getting your degree...or getting to the NHL. I'd say the goal for the majority of the hockey players is the NHL, and UND is the stepping stone for that. If it only takes 1-2 years to get there, thats how long they will stick around. If they get the opportunity to go to that next step, they certainly aren't going to say "I think I'll stick around for my 4 years of eligibility". It's just not going to happen.

I'll never get to Ralph's record. I have to save up to PAY UND. 1 kid in college now, 2 more to go, although I have a while to save, I'll be attending the last kids pre-school graduation in about 30 minutes! SO...everyone, keep eating pizza, it has to pay for three college educations!

I agree on trying for a large suite. I've been in a corner suite and didn't like it. The downpayment is a good idea, too. You can really hurt someone if you swing your oxygen tank at someone! That will leave a mark!! I think all the food is catered by GF Goodribs and Domino's, with no option of bringing anything of your own.
