Not yet...but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night!

A previous post states that JPar has signed. Todays GF Herald/Brad Schlossman states he still says he is coming back this fall. Whats up? Sorry, I cant do the link to the GFH because I dont know how. But I can make you a pizza, a quilt, a stained glass piece, grill you a really good steak, catch you a fish, plant your flowers, balance your checkbook, or start your IV (although I haven't done that for a really long time). Only the person spending the $ can decide if they are wasting money or not. In my case...not wasted. I have a jersey that belongs to a team that came along way, and that has a coach who can take them much further. If I were you, I'd give a damn about who sent you packing back to MN, instead of advancing to the Frozen Four. It could happen again, unless your team starts playing with some heart.

I agree that there should be some kind protection for players, eye shield or full face. They made the change to require helmets to protect from head injuries, and I think that eye or other facial injuries should be the next issue. Why dont the refs have to wear helmets? My last post had to do with the choices that they can still make in pro hockey, and the post from miles 1416, IMO, was ignorrant. Just my opinoin though.

This isn't about getting "tapped in the face". It's about a permanent eye injury that happened to one of our own. Whatever it has written all over it, so far is a choice that players make. Thanks for your opinion though.

I did notice the cheering for the US Anthem, and the singing along. The booing incident also happened not very long ago in San Jose, too, but with the US booing the O Canada. Pretty pathetic, no matter what side of the border you are on. Greene and Commie both got mentions from the announcers. It's great to hear, and as great to see that they are both playing good, and that others recognize that as well.

Did anybody just see the singing of the 2 National Anthems? A Canadian opera singer sang the American Natinal Anthem first. They showed the crowd and there were people in Oiler jerseys singing along. He sang O Canada second and held the mic up after singing just a few sentences andthe crown took over. They sang LOUD and with PASSION. Too bad that doesnt happen at the Ralph. I'd rather see the crowd singing than somebody with a mic. WOW! Oilers scored at 2:31 of the 1st.

I didnt "attack" your view, I was just looking for a deeper explanation for your comment. The "smarter than you" comment seemed like an attack more than anythig else.

You have any other comments to go with this? You should give an explanation as to why you think this is embarrassing. Those of us on this message board and Dr. K feel quite strong about keeping the name and tradition of the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux. Be prepared to answer any comments that are sure to follow. Of course you can always return to (or stay in) your state of "Orygun".

I dont think the Oilers goalie is to blame in this loss. He made some really good saves. IMO the rest of the team didnt show up to play. It got obvious near the end of the game with all of the cheap shots.
