Still no really official announcment from WDAZ or UND are they going to wait at the very last minute to tell us? After the women's game was over pat never siad either way if the games were going to be on FSSN all he said was see ya next season. Does he really have any control over this?

With USD leaving to make the step up the NCC is left with only 5 teams thats not enough to be a NC$$ conference..So what I am wondering is has any other well established conference disappeared so fast? In a way we all new this was coming. With the 4 major schools in the great territory of Dakota leaving it is sad that the NCC can't continue on.

In Doreen Yellow Bird's Column today she of course thinks she has another reason for UND to change its name, however in the 1970s Dartmouth changed its name and even still today their are students and alumni that won't drop it. The sad thing is that Ms. Yellow Bird thinks by changing the name all of UND's students and alumni are going to except it. Thats totally wrong right now the university has control of its logo and nickname but if the university drops it the "U" will also lose control of how the name "Fighting Sioux" is used. Back will come the racist T-Shirts, racist remarks as Dartmouth is still seeing today. THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO RACISM! We will always have people in this world that will be offended by another person, we always have bullies in our schools, and sorry to say it we will always have murders too. You, me, UND, NC$$, the State of ND, USA, and yes even Native American Tribes will never agree on every issue. Thats the world we live in we do not live in a Walgreens world!

I think people forget to realize that yeah WDAZ is a small station but they are also part of one of the largest media groups in the region....Yeah the NCAA should have responded quicker but on the other hand we should not have sympathy for WDAZ because they have other resources. And we must not forget that Forum Communications has a contract with UND to cover Fighting Sioux sports. I find hard to believe that WDAZ and Forum Comm. would have had a hard time finding the man power. Furthermore these people are in the business of late breaking news and sports...How late breaking is it when it is three hours old? BTW I too have to work on Friday and Saturday so do a lot of other people I know. Gee it sure would be nice to spend more time with family!

Maybe the big guys at Forum Communications Headquarters in Fargo care more about Bison Football than Sioux Football....For heavensakes they sent Steve Halstrom to UC Davis to help cover the game for Comcast Sports Net....

Watching the basketball games tonight I was hoping for some kind of announcement from Mr. Sweeny regarding this weekend's playoff match up but it was never brought up they were only pluging the CC hockey series....Which I am assuming that Pat will call those games.... So whose left to do FB? Does anyone have the inside scoop?
