what coach does not mess with player's heads? Herb Brooks did it all the time and he was one of the greatest hockey coaches ever. Unless you watch them practice every day, I would trust Hak and his coaches to make the lines as they see everyone working together. I can also see them wanting to give the freshman a chance to play. Lamoureux did some really good things for us on Saturday and while he didn't score, that does not discount what he was doing out there. For all we know, the second part of that equation could have been that they were a little banged up and Hak didn't want to tell anyone. And actually, both Duncan and Kozek had 18 goals last year...if I read the statistics correctly and I am pretty sure that I did.

ok, so yesterday in the Union I saw a recruit with Coach Jackson. He had light brown hair, what looked like dark eyes, about 2 or 3 inches taller than Jackson. About the weight of Kozek or in that range. Any clues as to an identity?

no, i was just explaining why the student section is normally quiet. I don't care to get into the arguement over behavior with anyone. I don't do the cheers with four letter words anyway, that is just the reason that was given to us as to why we weren't supposed to say some of the cheers. I go to the hockey games for the hockey game, not to do the cheers or to stand for the entire game or to get drunk. Those are just the rules that are told to us each year, I don't know what they say to the other sections, but I am assuming that it is the same. I was just replying to Budlight to explain why the student section was so quiet and to ask that we please not get into the same arguement that we get into every year.

Not to jump on you but please don't get us into this discussion. The student section is quiet due to rules that we are given when we get our season tickets. We are not allowed to stand when the puck is in play except for when it is appropriate and we are allowed to stand until the first whistle at the start of the periods. We are to limit our four letter words, but the band is told to start a cheer over us everytime that we start one. There is to be no drunk and disorderly conduct...any violation of these rules will result in your being kicked out of the game and possible loss of your tickets. FYI, the band normally only plays the beer song after a goal, so if you didn't stay for the entire game on Friday, you didn't hear it. I believe we sang it at least once after the goals...i can't remember for sure.

well that is dumb! I loved how the girl ref made the call, yet the male ref was the one who had to explain it to the coaches. She couldn't even explain her own stupid decision.

You couldn't tell from the replay. I was watching as the refs watched and the only things that they could have called was kicking, and I didn't see a kicking motion or girl in the crease and there was no girl in the crease.

low blow, Nate Hagemo is a young man whose life changed dramatically and then spiralled out of control when he thought everything was going wrong. Hopefully, he is now getting things under control. Whether or not, Jeff Dubay had meth in his car or not, i hope he gets the help that he needs because NO ONE deserves to not at least get that chance.

Nick Mattson is a 91, so that would be 2009 draft and I believe that Danny Mattson is older than him, so I would say 2009 draft as well (as in he turned 18 after the deadline for this year's draft and had to wait)...um, I don't know how to check draft rankings....sorry.
