Anyone else wishing that with the Pittsburgh Penguins move inevitable at the end of this season that they should bring them up here to the Ralph to play. They could easily keep their name.

Speaking of speed, I was wondering who is the fastest player in college hockey right now? Anyone know? Where does Watkins compare to others, anywhere near the top?

I think people are underestimating the Tech program this year. I do admit we should have had a win this past weekend, they are still very good. Just look at what they did to UAA earlier this season. Then what UAA did to us. Though I'm mad about the sweep, Tech deserves a lot of credit for coming here and sweeping us. Also, aren't we lucky Axtell didn't get to many chances last weekend, rumor has it last year in the USHL he was clocked with a 98 mph slap shot.

im not saying its not impressive, but I wouldn't go recruiting someone based on there shootout abilities when they were 13

Nice moves but a couple thoughts..... 1. Yes, how good is that goalie? 2. Could you actually pull some of those moves off in a game, and when are you going to use the shootout in a College Hockey situation. 3. Unsportsmanlike. I remember how angry the announcers got two years ago when a Denver player tried that against CC in the National Semifinal. Just ripped apart the player for trying something like that in a blowout. Inappropriate in any situation.

My thoughts go out to his family also. Is this the same student a few years back that the Ralph held the big offering during the intermission. If not, how is that young man doing?

Kerr did go in the box. And the interpretation of the rule is correct, but yes a delay of game penalty should have been called I would think. Either way, as a team we cannot depend on last minute penalty shots ( 2 games so far) to win games. We shouldn't be in those situations, especially against Tech

This is the problem and I don't think ANYONE can solve it. It's not bad bounces, you can't lose games because you get some bad bounces. WE NEED TO BEGIN FINISHING ARE CHANCES. Last week how many scrambles did we have in front of the net with the puck just sitting here. 1 I know of in the final minute. Tonight, there were a ton. Vandevelde, Oshie (had a ton), Miller (was wide open in the first, sitting in front) I don't know how to solve this, I guess it will just come.

I thought it was terrible, he said he was doing it to spark the team. I don't care spark a team, and kill a goalies confidence. Right now you have goalies who are struggling, and you cannot win games without goalies

Agree with you on all counts with the Oshie and Radke comments, you had to feel terrible for Oshie, but he has heart. Zajac's hit was the hit of the game against Axtell in the 2nd where he put him on his butt

Were thinking of making a sign saying "all i want for christmas is my two front teeth," after axtell and finley tangle he comes into the box just smiling and he has no front teeth, o did he hear it from us. Also it was great when we mentioned to Kerr about Radke's fight last year, and boy the next time they got together he skated away real quick. Lastly, where were the fans on Zajac's hit, I swear my friends and I were the only one to see it

Not scrappy but in my mind the smartest defensmen we have had in the past 4 years, Matt Jones Throw in all the seniors from the 2004-2005, that was a great team. Genoway and Fuher on the PP up top. Andy Schneider, many others

I remember two years ago we had like 8-10 games in a row at home to start off the season. This stuff is figured out years in advance on the WCHA side, and then years in advance with agreements we have with other schools. I'm pretty sure that is how it all works

From what I got from the pics, it was a scrappy game, it looks lke CC went and celebrated in front of the UAA bench after the GWG and that didnt go over too well. Fights broke out, and when a fight ended that the linesman weren't dealing with the players went into try and break it up and that led to more fights. Just poor, dumb sportsmanship on all parts

i can't stand that there is two songs, they show that clip which i think is awesome, then suddenly the music stops for the starting line up song. Such a adrenaline killer, stay with one big song all the way through. The difference between NHL and college is that starting lineups are announced before the players come out on the ice. I was thinking that during the AFI song before the players come out they should video of the past and the history of this team. Both videos and pictures, and show a couple fights, including Haks and Eades if there are any videos. Then when the players come out, I always thought Baba O'Reilly was a good song. I'm from Chicago, and the Bulls and Blackhawks always do a computer animation clip of the bulls and blackhawks running through the city past landmarks, and then brings them to the stadium, getting the adrenaline going. I always thought that a computer animation of you could say a "helicopter flight" just above the ground, obcviously moving at a high rate of speed, coming in from the west over hwy 2, show the afb, the airport, come into the city, make a right down columbia, and then another right over the fighting sioux bushes, and then into the stadium, right when the piano comes in on the song.
