Notre Dame in general is having a great sports year, minus the Orange Bowl

Friday night after the whistle a player took out smaby's legs from behind and that set Zach off where he tried to get in the penalty box (reminded me of the kid from little giants) Sat night was the night that Radke dropped Cummings and Joe got in a "fight," I still think that one was mixed up it was Oshie that was in the fight, how they got that one wrong I do not know.

Anyone catch the line from Kaip on fightingsioux.com "It's not all bad being ejected from a college hockey game for fighting. Just ask UND Fighting Sioux junior Rylan Kaip (Radville, Sask.) about that. "I watched the rest of the game from the hot tub,'' Kaip said."
-
Was he nude or in a towel, I heard he had just came out of the shower, must have had a hot date.
-
My only cents, from in the net to the forwards, without a doubt the best game the Sioux have played all year, I think this may have been a turning point in the season Hats off to Kaip and Zajac, both gained a lot of respect from within the team, to the fans

Ditto, was in Vegas last February and IP had no clue what I was talking about when I asked if they covered the Sioux, new owners was there answer. I did find the Wisconsin vs. Mankato game on in the MGM Grand Sportsbook though. Didn't request it, it was just on. Random

I would try Gateway too, I get everything done there, good people, plus when it gets above 32+ degrees the free car wash comes in handy. So how is this open skate with all the Sioux players going to work tomorrow with it being so cold

I think all arenas are contracted with one major vendor (Miller/Bud, Coke/Pepsi, etc.) so they really cannot sell Bud in one section and Miller in another. Something we'll always have to deal with. As for the commercials, it's time to change, I'm tired of seeing a guy with a $hit eating grin on his face when he has meat shoved into it.

I'm in Chicago and saw that article yesterday, from what it sounds after March 1 he will be fair game. The hawks really want him. I attended last night's game here in Chicago and I swear it was the Toews show, spent a whole NHL commercial break showing his goals and his stats from the WJC. Also auctioned off his signed Draft Jersey, made a $600 bid, but was beaten out by a $750 bid, this jersey looked nice. Last night JT's name was mentioned close to 25-30 times throughout the game for various reasons, I really believe the Blackhawks are putting an advertising campaign out there to make him a household name in Chicago come March. Though, I don't like this, after yesterday I'm sure the moment our season is done he is out of here, if not earlier.

Looks like they got an offer they really can't refuse. A decision will be made within 30 days. Kansas City offers Penguins free rent, ownership stake

i love the kid eating pizza wearing the dartmouth jersey and blackhawks hat, im surprised the ad allows that
-
i've said it time in and time out, martens is the most underrated player on our team. he is always in the right place at the right time, points just dont show it yet
-
I'm lost, I know what happened a few years ago at the final five, and that he took the year off, but what happened now that he would be kicked off, did I miss something?

Was at the Blackhawks game last night and let me just say some of the good things they did that made the game more fun. I've gone to Hawks games since I was young so alot of these things have been around for a while, i'll put them in italics Music was good, one of my favorites was when they played "I fought the law" during a opponent penalty. Hawks came out to Crazy Train. During the first intermission United Airline sponsored a shooting game much like Rydells, only they put a board with a hole on the ice in front of the net. Two chances, one with a big whole, and then a second chance with a smaller hole. Years ago, they did something similiar but with two prizes, one board had three holes, then one with one. You got a small prize ($100 flight voucher) for making the one with 3, and a huge prize for making one (roundtrip airfare I believe). They always have three contestants, a kid, an older guy, and lastly a very nice looking and scantily dressed woman. The organ is a huge part of the Chicago Blackhawks game, they have had Frank playing for I don't know how long now. During the second intermission he plays in his office up in the press box, he gets five minutes and it is amazing. He plays a multitude of different songs and different effects to get the crowd into it. He also plays and improvises throughout the game which keeps the arena from continuously playing music, and keeps the crowd involved for the different moments of the game. A zamboni race on the scoredboard. Some arenas pass out cards when you enter the arena with a specific zamboni and if it wins, u win. Depending on the sponsor you can pick your prize up the next day at say McDonalds, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts. A true/false game where a fan is put on the scoreboard and asked 3 true/false questions pertaining to the blackhawks (Nicknames, History, etc.) The fan holds a big board with one side true, one side false. If he/she gets majority right they win a jersey, in the lose they get a big i lost shirt. In game recap of the game, take audio and video of the game and replay the highlights from earlier in the game, has a sponsor Benchseats, two lucky winners are moved from their seats to a bench directly between the two benches. If i think of anymore I'll pass it on to you, I'll be at the bulls game and another hawks game this coming week, I'll pass anything on that could make the atmosphere at the arena better.

Quick Question: A few weeks ago a friend and I were having a debate over the goalie masks in college hockey. He thinks the school will cover the cost of the painting, I think that the school will cover the cost of the helmet but not the painting, and that the student has to pay for that himself. Anyone know the rules on this?

Sorry if this is posted somewhere, im a little to lazy to search today. But Toews and UND gets a little press http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/news/story?id=2710245

I was wondering how the players were going to cope with those strong wind and rain storms inside the ralph. Glad that probelm was solved, now lets move on to second periods

Florida State and Utah, if they ban us the whole world is coming to an end

I would like to see the Penguins move to Winnipeg or Portland. My friends from Seattle told me they went to some Junior team or something there, I am not completely sure and they said the fans there were crazy in love with hockey. I'm still suprised no talk on Salt Lake City Sadly, I think it will go to Kansas City, I heard that they will have a brand new arena ready this fall that is perfect for hockey. If the Penguins go there, I can't imagine the new name, Storm, Tornados, who knows
-
Another city you could say that isn't getting talk, has a hockey arena (Olympics), and could probably work, Salt Lake City.
-
I hate the idea of KC, Houston, and Vegas being a possible cities, what are they thinking? Attendance is down i believe all across the NHL, you need to market to a gaurunteed attendance city. Though the ralph is to small for an NHL team, its sad that we'll have a better yearly attendance than other cities (Chicago). Winnipeg would be a great city, along with possible portland, I heard they have some amazing hockey fans. As for Vegas, it would be nice to some sports team, attendance would be great (i'd take a weekend trip out there is one of my teams was playing them), but I don't think hockey would work.
