gf needs the worst to preserve the only identity he's ever had here.
-
Learn another trick, gf. You can do it.
-
I didn't see the game either but wondered if that might have been the case.
-
You may very well be right, Blackheart. I did not return to UND until 1989. Poobah would certainly know.
-
Huh. I was being facetious, but your response was very good, Sic.
-
The Circus had The Farce too, right, something we shouldn't forget.
-
I recall the writers at the SP Pioneer Press saying that they didn't think anybody would be able to beat the Sioux in the NCAAs that year. And Harkness' undefeated team was just as untouchable--and almost as good in the adjacent years. Not sure we'll see that kind of dominance throughout the tournament again, though. Until the boys steamroll this year.
-
Yeah, BC thrashed us. York had an amazing run there for a while.
-
Yeah, I feel that way too, but when it gets to regional and FF play, teams seldom absolutely dominate. Note even sure the Circus completely dominated MSU in '87.
-
Screens, deflections, bad bounces, freaky own goals, pipes . . . Winning both games at regional and both at FF takes luck in addition to good play. A shot from the point that deflects off one or more bodies may be nobody's fault but the gods'. That's why those shots from the perimeter through traffic can be so nerve-wracking even when the boys are playing well. In a game where 2 goals can win the game, there's a shytpot full of chance in the hockey NCAAs. Playing well is necessary but it is not always sufficient.
-
I just hope and pray that these young men feel a sense of fulfillment and inner peace, whatever the outcome,
-
UND is playing to escape gf's wrath, which is also scary.
-
He always did have some shifty moves
-
I wonder how many in-state championship games there have been? Minnesota, Michigan, New York, Mass? Edit: Went through championship history--looks like only 2: 1970: Harkness' undefeated Cornell over Clarkson 1956: UMich over MTech

Good for you, Goon. I thought it was very cool, and the players obviously did as well. Who says he's old. -

Berry is so dull -
You get the feeling he will score often in the not-too-distant future.

UND did well to win that. It was a night when many of their passes were just a half a stride off or to the wrong side of the stick.

Duncan was a special player and person. I’d love to be in the rink when he does his skate. Good year for him to do this. His office is open for business

His vision is freakishly good, and his feeds are easier to handle than Grimaldi's were, another guy who seemed to see it all.
-
A LOT of very good players on this team, something we've been commenting on since early in the season. That said, Blake is the straw that stirs the offensive drink on this team, IMO. And he seems to be working on his D and situational awareness.

Will we get to see Ryan take his lap on the NCHC broadcast?

I really like Ludvig a lot, but his inability to gobble up pucks at times is his Achilles heel, IMO. That save late in the 3rd last night must have had UMD guys shaking their heads, though.

I would think their loss hurts our PW as well?
