What exactly to you mean by "UND is corrupt."

Amen

I think "character issue" does not need to imply criminal type misbehavior. If they had a very talented prospect who they thought could not be coached away from seeing himself as primarily a goal scorer who would not completely buy into his responsibilities at the other end of the ice, they would probably pass on him.

Not to go all gopher fan here, but as nice as it would have been to get a Dman of his caliber, missing on Fabbro doesn't seem that bad to me. Although we are about to lose a lot on the blueline, we've got a lot of talent on campus and coming in, and what we need is goaltending to come through, the right kind of chemistry, and maybe a little bit of Lady Luck. We have the talent.

The Sioux have definitely laid some eggs at the finish, but for years they have been exceptionally good down the stretch. They've built their reputation on that, whether it was accurate or not.

living near Madison for the past 23 years, I've usually tried to catch the Sioux games in town. Those were almost always packed, high energy games, and Badger fans loved the Sioux rivalry. A great college hockey venue that now sucks. Hard to believe.

Those are big deals for a young team: kill a major and a 5 on 3, then follow with a shorty -

Good time for a major test for Johnson and the whole crew -
I was on a college campus road trip with a daughter of mine in early April of 2007 and spent the night at a small motel at Amherst College. She and a friend went out to a movie and I stayed back to watch the best line in college hockey make BC eat some humble pie. Should have gone to the movie. .

I'm not sure age makes a difference with goalies. Nothing makes sense with goalies. They're aliens with alien minds and souls. I'm not sure they are even born like the rest of us. Take Wilbur, for instance . . . -
Brings to mind another old timer, Bob Stiles.

This goes back closer to the beginning, but did Fido Purpur or Serge Gambucci spawn any coaches? Serge sure put out a lot players.
-
Fingers crossed, boys.

If we get him (and he and Jost show up) it'll be an exciting season, especially if Boeser stays.
-
This is kind of a risky position for you to take, gf, since on a personal level you appear never to have made the tourney. But a girl can dream, right?

Let the captains go out back for an honest-to-god pissing contest. Let's be men here. -
Makes me a little nervous that Blais didn't want Jost. Or Boeser.

Great story. I'll bet his players would have loved to hear that one.

My daughter attended a hockey camp at the Ralph quite a few years ago when she was about 14 and pretty inexperienced. Hak and his boys were around a lot, though he had no official role. She had nothing but good things to say about him; he treated all the kids kindly and expressed interest in them when he was around them. She liked the way he played with his own kids at the rink. Of the men's players, her favorite was Pony Malone. She really did not know a lot about the players, but said Kozek didn't seem very interested in teaching kids hockey.
