I recall Phil struggling a little in the first period against Michigan last year, pulled it together and allowed the Sioux to come back and win that game. I thought about pulling Phil yesterday, but decided I wouldn't do it. It was an atypically bad game by him at the beginning.

Even with 3 minutes left in the game I didn't want it to end because I couldn't accept it was the end of the season. Thanks, Fighting Sioux, for a fun season!

Kelley is not currently serving as the President of UND, is he? Therefore, it only makes sense that, procedurally, Kupchella and whoever are involved. They are currently on the payroll. If they were to hire someone without Kelley's approval, don't you think he'd make a deal about that? I'm not worried.

I don't believe in conspiracies, or that for some reason UND can't win the Hobey two years in a row. Whatever the reasons are, Phil was left out of the top 3. Not sure it's deserved, but that's the way it goes. IMO, too bad the team let down a little last Saturday and allowed Princeton to get a goal. Might have helped Phil. Personally, after he won the tournament for the team last weekend I thought he made a strong case to be in the top 3. Hopefully in 2 weeks we all forget this.
