  1. I'd rather see Greene, or maybe Prpich just skate by Paukovich and point at the scoreboard. The best revenge is living a good life.
  2. That's one thing I've noticed a lot lately. The puck takes forever to drop, and inevitably one or both face-off men get tossed. Now, maybe the problem with the puck drop is that the linesman is waiting for all the players to settle in. However, it seems that the longer it takes to drop the puck, the more guys tend to get out of their spots, do some stickwork, and bam, someone gets tossed. How about if they get the guys on the ice, the face-off men float up, and the puck gets dropped right away? Enough waiting around...
  3. MafiaMan, I agree with your points for the most part. Siouxyeahyeah, I've rewatched that several times too. Regardless of whether Adam saw Paukovich approach Bina, he saw where Bina WAS before being planted into the boards. He should have known it was a major penalty. And, in case anyone is interested, if you watch your tape look down at the bottom of the screen in the fans. You'll see ol #87 stand up, and show the guy behind me the elbow I THOUGHT Paukovich dished out (I hadn't been looking straight at Bina at the time of the hit).

    Charter

Now I deleted my post. There's almost NO record left!!
  5. I did, but already spent a half hour searching for jk's quote. I'm going to start charging for my time... BTW, just to be clear, was this in the BU game or BC game? I kind of think it was BC but if someone remembers definitively that works for me. Also, any hint as to what time of the game (which period?) would be a great help.
  6. That sounds awfully scary. It appears Kevin healed up just fine, fortunately. I remember by the end of Kevin's freshman season he was doing awfully well. Watching Speedwak and Notermann absolutely dominate on the penalty kill was a real treat.
  7. I kind of remember that too. I think Clement responded, kind of amazed, something like "and they're even completing a line change while they do it!"
  8. Didn't you know? He DID write a USCHO story about it but because he didn't come here to tout it no one read it.
  9. I don't agree. Leave it to the admin to remove those who abuse their priviledges.
  10. Yeah, then the only 2 posters who can post on this board are PCM (for the greenies) and Sagard (for the goldies). Let the grudge match begin!
  11. Yes, thanks for coming on board! The most exciting time is yet to come.
  12. Best run joint around, lacking only Guinness on tap.
  13. I'm quite certain Parise can stand on Hirsch's head, IF HE WOULD JUST STOP SQUIRMING!
  14. I saw that too. Was just too lazy to post anything on it. What a crock.
  15. And here I was thinking a few months ago that the WCHA was in kind of a down year relative to a few past years. I guess I was way wrong. Or else the WCHA teams (like UND) have really picked it up.

    FROZEN 4

I think on this site "dirty Gophers" isn't a reference to their style of play. Just an indication of the dislike of the rival.
  17. This board is about the same image of the GPL consensus. Just a different color.
  18. I agree. Goli was considered day to day before this weekend. Give him 2 weeks and he'll be back. Briggs was supposed to be out for the season, oops, back in 3 weeks. Etc etc. I expect both Hirsch and Goligoski to be playing in the Frozen Four. This is going to be a heck of a game. If the Sioux lose, I'm dreading the gopher mantra of "we win when we want to win". Go Sioux!

    FROZEN 4

I'm happy to hear the FF will be on NHL sized ice. The boys seem to be playing very well defensively right now, and that might help them counter MN's offense if that is who they play. I don't know enough about Cornell to know if it will help or hurt the Sioux in that match-up.
  20. Just as a fan, whose stomach was eating away at him because while Robbie was on the ice we couldn't see if he had movement or not, it was AWESOME to see the jersey, and especially the PHOTO of a smiling Robbie Bina in his neckbrace stuck up in the Sioux lockerroom (they showed it on tv tonite). Good luck, Robbie!
