Great effort by that whole unit. It's almost surprising they didn't score before Duncan's goal. Great pass by Oshie to put Duncan in the open, who sniped it far side rather than Lawson's glove side.

I think this first PP unit smells blood.

Radke and an AA player roughing it up. If the refs didn't get in the way that might have escalated as well.

Rough stuff after the whistle in front of Lawson. Kaip and captain Anderson go at it. Decision Kaip! Should hear some whining from Lucia tomorrow.

Sioux better come out of this with an extra PP. Beaverson was smacking Fabian into the boards, and hit him an extra time after the whistle. Fabian fell backwards onto the ice and Beaverson kicked him in the head. At first it looked accidental and then he seemed to continue to work Fabian's head. Fabian turned on him and the refs broke them up. I can't believe they called it even, with the crosschecks Beaverson was continually putting into Fabian.

Watkins makes up for not clearing out an easy puck on the PK by stealing a pass in the offensive zone, and feeding back to an onrushing Porter who put it in the far side!!!! 2-0

BIG JOE! He smoked a guy into the boards, turned around and cleared out 2 guys who collapsed on his fallen goalie.

Great work down low by the whole PP unit that time. They had several guys banging away at the puck. Worked for AA last night and for the Sioux tonite.

Great anticipation by Oshie. He saw that Toews would have a great chance to get to the puck so he broke from the zone, and AA took a tripping penalty to keep him from the puck.

Hak said irresponsible plays with the puck caused the 2nd and 3rd goals and not happy with the team not making the safe play. TH blamed the refs for not making calls, believing this hurt the Sioux more than AA. Hak almost lost his composure here. Said "I don't know what the hell we're doing" and made a comment about how the WCHA should be better than this. At first I thought he was telling Tim not to blame the refs for this game, but then it seemed like he was ripping the league for piss poor officiating. Duncan say this tie feels like a loss. Credits Oshie with the real work on his first goal. Says there's a different attitude in the locker room now, they grind other teams down and will try to take the positives out of tonite's game and take tomorrow's.

I'd like to see a replay but I have a hard time believing that Oshie went headfirst into the boards like that legally.

That just seems like a goal that should not have happened.

Zajac and VV have had very good games IMO. Zajac had himself positioned nicely out front but the pass from VV was broken up. Good work by that line again.

AA is getting way too close. The Sioux needed a line to come out and control the puck in the other end. The VV line does that for a while, but the Sioux have to build on this after the break.

It would make me feel a whole lot better if we can get the next goal. AA is spending way too much time in the wrong end of the rink this 3rd period.

Sweeney makes it sound like Porter tried to hit Lawson but it was obvious Porter was trying to squeeze between Lawson and the boards. But VV interferes with Lawson and goes to the bin.

AA outshot the Sioux 13-8 in the 2nd. Great play by Oshie in the last minute but he unselfishly tried to pass to Duncan and maybe should have shot, as the pass had to go through too much traffic. Then AA get's a breakaway and Chorney with a phenomenal play from behind to dive and sweep the puck away without tripping the AA forward. Sioux were not as good as they were in the first. Need to win the 3rd.
