The first years of the WCHA Frozen Four in St Paul were awful, worse than what's going on at Target Center. The old Civic Center had crappy ice that was way worse than this ... Gino was just glad nobody got injured. The restaurants all closed before 5pm so there was nowhere to grab a meal before the games. Sightlines were awful... The key here is the NCHC has to step in an offer some leadership (okay direction) to Target Center. If after that, there's no changes, then I'd be in favor of exploring changes of venue.

I think the Committee will find a way to put BC and BU in different regionals. What with the frozen four in Boston ....

I think playing In an empty arena should help the Gophers since they are used to it.

I think its simply terrific that the last goal of the series was scored by a senior, Connor Gaarder, who somehow finds a way to elevate his game when we really need it. The guy is just fantastic.

I agree enthusiastically with the idea that the top seeds should get to play on home ice (or on an available rink that meets NCAA standards). I think it would be cool if the number one overall seed got to pick its first round opponent. The number 2 seed could pick who they want to play from the remaining pool of teams. Etc etc until the bracket is filled. Would add a little bit of spice to these opening round games. Just like getting picked or not picked on the playground added a little bit of spice to the games. ====================== "With the #1 overall seed, the University of North Dakota chooses to play Robert Morris, at Ralph Engelstad Arena." I am impressed as hell with Miami's top 6 forwards. I am unimpressed with their defense. Put those two opinions together and that would drive my strategy to defeat Miami.
