  1. Boeser is like Oshie's body and Duncan's hands.
  2. On the short list of things we've done well, PK would be there.
  3. Smith was fortunate not to get called for 5. That was contact to the head with the arm extended. In his defense, it wasn't all that violent, but we've seen lesser get called for 5.
  4. The D pair of Peski and Johnson are overmatched.
  5. No issues here. Of course, its a first 10 minutes of game time that I wouldn't mind had I missed.
  6. Simply don't believe his "I didn't know where the locker rooms were." On his 12th game at the Ralph? What really happened is his team was getting crushed, and to give them any chance at all, he wanted to intimidate the refs. (The intimidation worked.)
  7. Well, actually ... http://collegehockeystats.net/1516/boxes/mndkwis1.n06
  8. On a related note, congrats to Denver on sweeping Boston U back East to cupcake land.
  9. I call bull$%!#.
  10. Hmmmm.... I'd say its a matter of degree.
  11. Well, let's start with the fact that I have more respect for him than for most of our elected officials. Thoughtful, pragmatic, reasonable, articulate, and (by all accounts) honest. I'm open to contrary views, to be sure. Of course, the question is moot for now.
  12. If Lowell Schweigert ever ran for an elected office, I would vote for him.
  13. If he keeps working on puck pursuit and makes another quantum leap like he did last year, he will fit perfectly in their system. They need forwards that read plays and react (and pursue) to do PK; if he gets a spot on PK its a solid sign that he'll be staying up. Lot of their other bottom six that didn't PK were the first ones to go down. Go Nick!
  14. I wasn't in the picture, but I would have paid money to watch the game. (Hint, hint, fundraising for a good cause ...)
  15. A better night (so far) for the NCHC. Congrats to Air Force on winning the Ice Breaker.
  16. Yes, but if that's why you put it in the FCS thread, then I am offended.
  17. Clearly Berry needs to keep juggling lines until we can form up an unforgettable acronym. I'd be up for putting Poganski on the top line with Boeser and Jost.
  18. Yeah, with a night to sleep on it I think those two key stops early on got overshadowed by the scoring blitz that followed. If Johnson can come up with that kind of stops this year, that will be huge.
  19. Hockey East 6-1-2 so far this year. And the Big Ten is really flexing their muscles: 3 wins, 3 losses.
  20. Final score: Air Force 2, BC 1. Salute!
  21. x2 Time for the defenders to wake up.
  22. Thanks for clarifying the line of control. (University Senate has a LOT of competing agendas ...)
  23. Rare for the public to get an inside peek at a piece of machinery that hasn't been working properly. That being the IAC. As a standing committee they should be well versed on all the issues, as noted by others above. But I can't figure out (yet) WHY it got this way. One possibility is that Faison gave it lip service only or less. Or perhaps the committee members really are incompetent, in which case Faison would have my sympathies. Or perhaps IAC was overtaken by members with other agendas. Going forward, as a key component of being able to demonstrate institutional control, a well functioning IAC is a valuable line of defense (against lawsuits and other challenges). This seems like another place where we shall see soon how Kennedy runs the shop.
