Count me as also hoping for a strong reset top to bottom. Culture is also part of the process of building a successful team (organization). How players (workers) treat one another, etc. Sometimes, when a team isn't getting the results that it should, a reset of people can help reset the culture too. Perhaps this is also a time for a reset. In a perfect world, all our incoming players bring with them tools that have worked elsewhere, and that can include aspects of culture that can work at UND too. For as long as I can remember, great leaders have been part of UND hockey's success. This is a time for great leaders to step forward.

Reviewing the 50 years of Jack Adams Award (aka coach of the year), I see 3 past winners with a connection to NCAA hockey: Red Berenson (Michigan, ew), Dave Tippett (UND, great guy), Rod Brind'Amour (Michigan State). None of them coached in NCAA first, and then went on to coach in the NHL. Which would make Hakstol the first to succeed on that path. Or, if Jim Montgomery wins, he coached NCAA before NHL too.
