I'm sure Hak/Eades can ramp up the intensity at practice/in the locker room when they need to. It's a long season - I'm sure they pick their spots.

Saturday - end of game. Calls like that will drive good coaches/players elsewhere.

That doesn't make sense. Gleason, McWilliam, Mattson, and Forbort were already signed by the time Olson made his decision last spring (Fienhage was already here). I don't know how we would have had scholly $$/playing slot for him.

I think it's too early to tell on some of the 2010/11 recruits. Example - if Nelson has a monster year and goes higher than currently projected, it could/would impact when he comes. Just an example.

8 D on scholarship +1 walk-on is a problem. Not a good use of resources (think of the scholarship $$ as salary cap $$). Mattson replaces Genoway as an offensive D. Forbort will not sit. 2 D that played this weekend will not be playing regularly next year.

Agreed - most of their coverage area is interested in other sports vs hockey.

... and that would be an incentive for Minn to join the BTHC? What's the UM $$$ cut of the OSU/MSU game versus the $$$ from FSN? Do the math and it's why Maturi will fight the BTHC.

There are other forces driving the BTHC. not BTN (see the article that started the thread). If they REALLY want college hockey on BTN, they could do it now - there are plenty of games to show with the existing B10 hockey schools now. Here's the problem - If the Buckeyes and Spartans are on B10N Friday nite, do you think Twin Cities viewers are going to switch away from a Gopher game to watch it? If not, what's the point for the B10N? They could get the same eyeballs showing Volleyball, Swimming, Football replays, etc. Only hockey markets (Detroit/TC) will be tuning in for hockey. They would need/want all their hockey viewers tuned in. If they were smart, they would "Beanpot" the current Showcase on 2 Mondays. Then they would have an exclusive audience. They could do this now, without the BTHC.

You know something we all don't? Kind of low to go there if you can't back it up.

Or he could play some to keep him ready if/when someone goes down. Same with Dell. I bet Eids plays Fri and if the team/he does well he will be back in Sat ala last weekend.
