From the sounds of the posters here there are literally millions of people watching UND hockey on TV. So it makes me wonder why can't FSSN pony up and buy a couple of HD camera's. Or heck, buy a couple of iPhone 4s's. Also, invest in a powerplay clock, stop making us guess at the time.

All Gopher hockey games are broadcast in beautiful high definition. Are the UND hockey games not?

I'm digging the maroon suit out of the closet and heading down to Meccaucci to watch Saturday's game. This weekend will come down to goaltending. Can UND find back one of their goaltenders from season's past, or will this years tandem show up. Can Patterson continue to bail the freshmen D out for the U? Or will he continue the proud Frazee, Kangas, Briggs tradition? I'm excited this year because its the first time in a long time that I honestly believe UND doesn't have the players to beat up on the Gophers like in years past. My prediction; Gophers sweep. Friday night thanks to the special teams as UND tries to assert itself as the more physical team and takes too many penalties. Saturday night a closely contested one or two goal game. The Gophers will lose if they continue to take stupid penalties like they did vs Vermont. The Gophers need to keep the PIM's to a minimum and ride their hot hot hot powerplay to success.

You're not missing much. No flow, gopher goal was a fluke goal, UND goal #1 nice shot off a bad turnover, UND goal #2 5-3 pp goal. Other than that its a yawner.

Cause its entertaining. I wish the gophers would recruit more defensemen like Stu BIckel, but since tDon does the recruiting theres really nothing I can do about that. And I don't disagree with everything, just most things.

What does it matter? I want to see all 5 guys on the ice standing up for each other--especially since the gophs don't have the size the soup normally have on the ice. Maybe if you guys would recruit smaller players the guys could go one on one.

You're right, that happened after blood flattened the gopher in front of the net and then cross checked him while he was laying on the ice. If you don't like the FSN announcers watch the game on FSSN.

Basically it boils down to this.....(and this isn't an excuse, I HATE the football team) The BEST TEAM IN NDSU HISTORY (and they'll probably not see a team like this for another 10-15 years after the coaching staff is picked apart and recruiting takes a step backwards) beat THE WORST TEAM IN UMN HISTORY. You take a BAD defense, then take away their three best players (read sexual assult before the season and Brewster doing the only acceptable thing and cutting the players immediately), and you get a group of 11 players that have absolutely no business being on a Big Ten field. Have a good playoff run Bison......oh wait........

The late penalties were terrible, but the killer was the first empty netter. How could Rooney be so alone down there? Did they ever show an overhead shot of the play? That seemed like 100% effort, I would have thought the Sioux players would be giving 100% at that point trying to tie the game up.
