I live in Fargo and have UND season tickets.

Last time I checked, fighting isn't allowed in Men's Division I College Hockey. Maybe UND would be better suited playing in the WHL or OHL, thats where most of their blue chip recruits end up anyways [insert rimshot].

The goonery that goes on between Wisco and UND is nothing compared to UMN vs UND.

Maybe if your players hadn't started handshake fights multiple years, and your administration could pull its head out of its rear and figured out the naming deal before two years after the deadline, the rivalry could continue. This is such a dead topic its pointless to get worked up about. Use the next four years to sober up a bit before UMN's schedule has some openings for UND and the teams get back on the ice together (in Minneapolis).

Parks and Wilcox are tied with 2 points each. (yes, I know parks has missed 17 games or something like that) I think we'll find out this weekend that statement is false. The Kristo-Knight-Whoever line has been scoring a ton this season and is a legitimate threat, but the drop off from there is noticeable. Maybe the MacMillan brothers can get something going, and yeah Rocco is a nice talent (but can he be a good teammate?), but both need to be proven before you can put those goals in the bank. I really think this weekend comes down to whoever scores the third goal on Friday. Both of these teams can take a punch early and get back up but if one starts rolling, either going up 3-0 or 2-1, it could get ugly.

If you put Rocco on the first line the other 3 lines have no scoring threats at all.

I guess I didn't realize the ref's had the ability to watch slow-motion replays before they call penalties.

Here because #1 its an entertaining place to help kill time at work and #2 because if I'm going to have tickets to UND hockey I might as well read about the team so I know who to watch for, etc etc.

[sarcasm] I'm sure it can be but my tickets put me in grand forks every weekend (I'm the guy wearing the Gopher jersey in section 106).

I'm sure the Gophers are going to be sleeping on a team ahead of them in the standings... This isn't 05/06 or 06/07, this team has work ethic!

The thing to keep in mind with this years Gopher team (and last years too I guess) is that they play solid team defense. Much easier for a team to survive an offensive cold snap when you're only giving up 1-2 goals per game.

Per Russo's blog, Lucia says UND and UMN rivalry will start again after the scheduling contract with Nortre Dame ends, so four years without then back at it.
