Can't we just all agree that the Minnesota block "M" is the best logo on the front of any hockey jersey in the world? It's clean, sharp, and you can tell excatly what it is from the last row of the upper deck.

I agree. St. Cloud State fits the NCHC like a glove. Solid program and like you said a renovated arena on the way and geographically it makes sense as well.

Didn't the CCHA switch to home teams wearing the colored jerseys a few years ago? I thought they did but could be wrong.

But Minnesota is in a unique situation where there are FOUR OTHER in state programs we need to schedule. I'm sorry that you're simply not bright enough to grasp the difference between Minnesota's scheduling difficulties compared to UND's but I can't help you. When you guys need to schedule non conference games with four other programs before you can even consider scheduling anyone else, then you can talk about how "easy" it should be to schedule someone. Until then, just shut up.

You're not understanding. Again, the Gophers can't control Notre Dame having a down year. The point is they are not a cupcake the Gophers scheduled. The Sioux had BC and Maine. The Gophers had Michigan State and Notre Dame. Not much difference IMO.

Scheduled someone good? Like Michigan State and Notre Dame? The reason why the Gophers are 7th in the pairwise isn't because they scheduled easy non conference teams. Its because they lost these games to good teams. And two years ago Vermont was a Frozen Four team. You can't predict how good a team will be when scheduling in advance. The Gopher scheduled one patsy the entire year, Sacred Heart. Northeastern is no slouch either. Air Force, Harvard, and Clarkson aren't exactly national powers either. The only three tough NC games the Sioux had were 2 vs. Maine and one against BC. Pretty comparable to the Gophers' road series at Michigan State and one against Notre Dame.

The difficulty in scheduling UND right now is your stupid nickname, not Don Lucia. Why should Lucia even explore playing games with UND when the U has made it clear they will not play UND until the name is gone?

You dont think the four other programs in the state want to play the Gophers every year? We know UND does and Denver is currently in talks with us to continue playing, so yes most everyone in the league DOES want to play the U. Not sure what's so laughable about that opinion but ok.

Thorimbert was the best goalie I saw all season.

I know Eidsness officially played enough minutes to qualify in the goalie stats but for me I still find it hard to place him on any of the all league teams. He played great, just didnt play enough IMO to warrant an award.

Lucia has said from day one that he would like to keep the rivalry going with UND so Im not sure what you're talking about. But there are four in state programs who want to play the Gophers of course, and Im sure programs like DU and CC would like to keep the series going as well. There simply is not enough games to make everyone happy.

Last year the Sioux were the best team in the nation and a LOT better than Michigan. Weren't the Sioux the highest scoring team in the nation? To get to the biggest game of the season and get shut out is a choke job in a major way. If that were the Gophers last season EVERY Sioux fan would be talking about a Gopher choke. It's weak to give Hakstol a pass just because Hunwick had a good game.
