i think that travis zajac was perhaps a better defensive player than toews. he also scored a few. close call though.

im not saying VV is worse than any of the players i put on the poll, but i think that oshie is the faceoff man and set up guy too. i really think he would be awesome bringing that faceoff ability to the 2nd or 3rd line. it would be best imo to even out the faceoff guys throughout. also, i feel that oshie is going to center the top line.

for sure? whats the basis for that? the first line is a scoring line. VV's size is an asset to the 3rd line imo. im surprised so many think VV is a candidate.

my vote is for kozek. i think he brings a lot to the table. if he can find the back of the net more cosistantly... thats the question. i think the freshmen listed would be great on the 2nd line together with VV, perhaps.

for what year? i guess we will need a replacement for walski in 09

malone will be another VV. hes a big kid that needs to develop. im thinking kozek or miller...maybe forney. im really excited to see forney play this year.

1. und- not much of a question to me 2. um- i dont think they will get past und this year. but is definitely possible. 3. uw- people underestimate connoly at goal. and dont forget turris and other great recruits. 4. du- lost a lot, but will have a very tough top line and championship goaltending to boot. 5. mtu- tech would be my fav for 4th if casey was playing to start. 6. scsu- no apefart or gordon, but nodl and laasch will keep them in contention for home ice. 7. cc 8. msu 9. umd 10. uaa

the gophers will be young at d, but that doesnt mean they will suck. they still have TONS of talent coming back. i am giving the gophs the respect they deserve here. they will be very tough next year. this is not like what du or umd lost. i would honestly put the gophs at anywhere from a 1st to 3rd place finish in wcha. with und and uw right there with them. i predict something like 1. und 2. um 3. uw

i think uno would bring this league down.

i definitely think uaa and uaf need to be in the same league... the ccha . and bsu and uno should be in the wcha. my only complaints are that bsu NEEDS a new arena to be in the wcha and uno is full of a bunch of clowns imo. and they suck too. and mtu would be the switch with uno. it would be nice if we could just pick up bsu(with a new arena) and give mtu to the ccha.

if i go to the f5 i will take you on, but its not likely i will. if im correct und averaged 3.56 GPG. maybe 1 a game is an exaggeration, but i could definitely see ave. 4 a game. it could be more if und didnt have this year's schedule

well gwoz has like 1 person on board for 08, maybe 2. and they are filling these early spots with guys that have been left by every other college.

ill leave that one alone. seriously though. thats fast, seabrook, dingle, and now pauk. with the gregoire situation as well. du will miss playoffs again. one has to wonder if gwoz is going downhill. and how much appert had to do with their success.

well as of right now, he is going to to be like brian elliott was for UW. he will get them a lot of 1 goal wins and if not for him, they would lose at least 5 more. luckily for du, i would bet that mannino will stay. i just think that their recruiting has gone way downhill. time will tell. they do have some quality guys coming in, but 2 good players will not make the team what it was 4 years ago.
