  1. It's early yet, but they seem to be playing great hockey. I am still not sure if they have an answer for their Achille's heal last year in net, but they have a little more offense this year to make up for it. Who knows, Hakstol might still be in Philadelphia if they had an answer in net there. They didn't bring Hart up until Hakstol was gone, so I find it odd that they let Hakstol go when he traditionally has teams perform better after the New Year, and even more odd because they didn't give him a viable NHL goaltender.
  2. But to truly be an elite team, you shouldn't be looking at a cushion you have between you and the rest of the division, you should be looking at securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
  3. But can you do better than all the first round draft picks BU has had in their lineup?
  4. That’s why BU is always beating out Duluth and Mankato. Oh, wait…
  5. What looks like a great pick up at one point, doesn't always end up that way. Singleton was at one point considered a top WHL prospect, but now I would imagine his future is up in the air. Another reason why people need to relax about us needing more commitments because others are getting a bunch. Hopefully he figures it out.
  6. I truly hope that hypocrisy is exposed. Wish every statement or act Bettman has made since he was 14 is scrutinized, and he has to live under the same standard.
  7. Yes, plus Craig McTavish. So apparently you can not only play, but coach. https://www.sportscasting.com/craig-mactavish-missed-an-entire-season-of-his-nhl-career-for-killing-a-26-year-old-woman/
  8. https://www.bladeofsteel.com/Local-parent-claims-Mitchell-Miller-is-being-lied-about-shares-her-side-of-the-story-173187&s=22 It’s hard to know what is the exact truth in this situation, but weren’t there NHL players that actually killed people while drinking and driving while they were adults and still managed to have careers in the NHL?
  9. What was most frustrating to me was the linesmen trying to make themselves a focal point by not dropping the puck. Can’t imagine if you are one of the faceoff men and have to deal with that, especially with the threat of a delay of game penalty looming while the ref is playing a game of Simon says.
  10. If that was Kleven, 100% he gets called for that, especially with the follow through.
  11. One can only hope once he and Costantini get going we will be that much better five on five. Need those guys to step up.
  12. I was listening to that feed for over half the game before I realized it was on Midco. Night and day!
  13. It’s not like Denver doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt to begin with.
  14. Will be interesting to hear if the Bruin's will hear from the victim's family, or if he isn't going to be allowed back in society.
  15. The same people screaming for Berry's head and longing for the days of Hakstol, are the one's that said we needed a change because Hakstol couldn't win it all. People think that it is just a given that UND will always be a winning program and things can only get better. I have a feeling if UND got rid of Berry or he left that people could be longing for the days of winning league championships and being in the mix every year. Sometimes it is the case of "be careful what you wish for".
  16. You just seem overly impressed based on draft position.
  17. Doesn’t make him a better player because someone confirms it. The higher picked, the more likely he won’t be around as long.
  18. I definitely think the strategy was to make sure they didn’t get a ton of net front shots and shut down the lanes preventing the cross ice pass resulting in an empty net.
  19. Frankly, six games into the season, I would be more than o.k. with those numbers from here on out.
  20. We can only hope that once he get's going, he doesn't disappear when we need him. They need to figure out how to press his buttons so we can get him to be more consistent, something you shouldn't have to say about a Senior. Hope he figures out that besides playing for his hometown team, he is playing for a future contract.
  21. Saw that James Hagens had a hat trick and an assist with 8 shots on goal last weekend for the NTDP. Is he going to play with his brother, or do we have a shot at him?
  22. 9-7 isn't the end of the world. I think right now, Duluth's slow start, especially at home has been the unusual part.
  23. Thankfully, UND has traditionally been a team that builds as the season goes on and works on shortcomings. Much rather be a team that does that than start out like a house of fire then goes backwards. There is a reason Duluth hasn't won a league championship forever, but still seems to be one of the teams to beat in the NCAA tourney.
