You aren't wrong.

Yeah, I totally agree with you on this. There's more to this story than just an illness IMHO.

Boy, I sure didn't want to miss out on this thread! Just got home from the game with my son and we had a good time. Cosetta's for lunch, $20 parking, a Snuffy's malt at the X...who could ask for more. Oh, and we ran into the MafiaMan and MafiaBoys in the concourse. What are the odds? Sioux looked great out of the gate, but could not match intensity after that first goal. I don't think Omaha is better than UND, but they sure have us figured out. Aggressive forecheck by UNO forcing Sioux into some questionable decisions and/or giveaways in our zone did not help. Omaha just seemed like they wanted it more; they were quicker on pucks and seemed to outhustle/outwork UND for stretches. Hobey was ok in net; I'm thinking he wants that one backhander back though. There's no reason why UND shouldn't have been balls to the wall from the puck drop; they are playing for a 1 seed in the NCAA's. Sioux looked good at points but this is not the same team that held DU to 4 goals on the weekend. Not sure what it's going to take but B-rad and the coaches need to get the boys back on track and quickly. Otherwise, they'll be watching the Frozen Four from home instead of playing in it. Go Sioux! Edit: I'm going to go back and read this thread but I'm guessing there's a few more 'Ledgies' than usual after today's game.

At Cosetta’s having a slice

Who am I going to see at today's game? MafiaMan? gfhockey? Heading over to the X shortly. Go Sioux!

Zmolek totally robbed...he is the frickin' grit on this team! Also, B-rad for Coach of the Year...everybody must have felt sorry for CC just because they have sucked for so long. B-rad turned over the entire D corps and every transfer he brought in has been a W.

Poor kid...somebody find him some GREEN!

I agree...not sure what's going on with Ludvig.

If you’re in town tonight it shouldn’t be too bad. Might be a little dicey overnight into the morning commute.

Apparently all our goalies looked outstanding. Just put their names in a hat I guess.
-
Per the Herald, UND will be on the Visitor's bench on Friday...therefore, I'm guessing they will be attacking the end with the Zamboni entrance (section 123) twice against Omaha.

So where does Torts rank on the Babcock scale?
-
He had some pretty good Sioux teams back in the day...yes, definitely an all time great! Went to a couple of his basketball camps; good times!

A little more Ross Rhea? "Kid, you got this thing. The stuff. The s h i t. The fuckin' grit, you got it, like me."

It was 6-0 when I flipped past...

Hardly ever...that's why I choose to wait until it gets posted on Sunday after all the games are played.

Wow...that's a huge blow for Denver. I know he's been nicked up a little this year; do we know what caused this latest injury?
-
Are you talking next year?

Well if the primary consideration was having enough horses to win in your league, Bowling Green would be miles ahead of Miami. Bergeron never won more than 8 games in any of the 5 seasons as head coach of Miami. Looks like just 19 conference wins in five years; finishing last in 4 of 5 seasons. Eigner's BG teams were just a bit over .500 the last five years with 20+ win seasons in his first two. So the ramp up to having a winning squad would appear to favor Bowling Green at this point. It's interesting to note that Bergeron's time as Bowling Green's coach showed improvement in win totals each of his nine years before leaving for Miami. (including NCAA's his last year) So did Bergeron suddenly become a bad coach upon arriving in Miami? Did he not recruit well enough to compete in the NCHC? As far as attractiveness, there are a lot of things to consider including facilities, fan/admin support, history of the program, the league you play in, salary, etc. I'll leave that to someone who knows more about hockey in the CCHA footprint.

Four guys from Boston schools; 6 from the East. Maybe they'll split all their votes and Blake will slide into the Hobey Hat Trick. -

No blue chippahs? -
Gofers probably suffered the most with the new conference. They had to trade 50 year rivalries with DU, CC, UND for Ohio State, Penn St, Michigan State. I don't blame their fans for staying away as long as they did. Who wants to go watch Minnesota play Ohio State in the middle of January? And thanks to the B1G Network, Friday and Saturday nights at 7 on Fox Sports were no longer. Use to be able to set my watch by this; suddenly they were no where to be found. Would always watch the Gofers if the Sioux weren't on or during intermissions just so I could see how good they were. Now? Not so much.

Alvarez didn't want UW playing (and losing) to some of the newer (and smaller) schools that joined the WCHA later on. So he and Jim Delaney put the whole B1G hockey conference into motion...and just like that, 50 years of conference rivalries were gone.
