Didn't see it but I wouldn't be surprised. Heard a first hand account of a similar incident where he wouldn't shake an 8 year old's hand because he didn't like his (Sioux) hat. That was shortly after their last NCAA championship...
I'm not that worried about Michigan...from the games I've seen, their goaltending is average at best...maybe they are hot right now but I wouldn't be afraid to draw them in the NCAA's...
Yes he is a tool; he's just another juvenile looking for attention..."hey look, they're talking about me! I'm important!"
Sorry to say I don't know the status of the Sioux fan from the incident Mujack referenced. Anyone?
If they have both tribes agreeing to keep the nickname, they better find a way to finalize this thing. What a bite it would be if the NCAA conditions were met but this gets held up by our own SBoHE...
He responded to my email; his only contention was that he did not believe the majority of Native Americans supported the nickname. That would have taken at least 5-10 minutes to find on the web...Obviously he did zero research on this story and is just happy to be collecting a paycheck.
I just sent Mr Ramsey an email asking him to do a little research before opening his yapper next time...here's his address if you want to communicate with him...
