I actually sat in that level during the Frozen Four at the X when the Gofers cheated to beat UMaine. You are pretty far away but you can see everything developing...former Badger Coach Jeff Sauer sat two chairs down from me...I wanted to ask him about his goon teams but thought better of it.

Actually the WCHA had picked a really nice Cup for the new Broadmoor award but somehow the majority of funds set aside never made it to the trophy manufacturer...Wonder how that happened? The one we saw this weekend was the $19.99 price beater special.

Really? I thought you just had to make the tourney once, put out a promo video of your team and the recruits will come. Note: The folks over at NDSU should call the St Cloud State hockey program. They likely have some good contacts on where to order NCAA Participation banners.

I checked the Summit web site and they reported attendance for the mens championship basketball game between IUPUI and Oakland as 3,122. This game was played in Sioux Falls so obviously it was too far for any real basketball fans to attend. Note: The arena holds 6,300 people so the final game was played at under 50% capacity. That sounds pretty niche-y to me...

I just read the blog where former Sioux Sports poster PCM gives his take on the hit. He compares the recklessness and danger of the hit to those on Bina, Genoway, etc. I think all that time he's spending on USCHO has fried his brain...

Maybe UND will appeal it like St Cloud did...the WCHA braintrust went from 5-8 games for Messy Marvin down to 3...maybe they can make Frattin sit just one shift...

Didn't see it but I wouldn't be surprised. Heard a first hand account of a similar incident where he wouldn't shake an 8 year old's hand because he didn't like his (Sioux) hat. That was shortly after their last NCAA championship...

I'm not that worried about Michigan...from the games I've seen, their goaltending is average at best...maybe they are hot right now but I wouldn't be afraid to draw them in the NCAA's...

Well UMinny does have some excellent programs for 'little people' so that may be hard to do...
