Well Phil Jackson and one of the NA nickname opponents (Ron or Jesse) both expressed support for Roughriders as the new name...that's pretty much the same as Cavalry in my book...surprised they would be in favor of any such name.

Cripes, can't they put the games on Pay per view or something? I would gladly pay $99 for the home games every season...somebody must have crunched the numbers; with all the viewers they have been getting on the Fox College channels their should be enough meat on the bone to make a little profit...Offer it through Direct TV, Dish Network, Comcast in the Twin Cities...I don't want to go back to webcasts! I guess I can always just listen to Hennessy on internet radio...

I just watched the February 15, 1998 game against the Gofs last night. It's on par with this years final 5 game as far as comebacks go...the Sioux trailed 3-0 as well and came all the way back to win...the Old Ralph was rockin' and poor Wooger had the 'deer in the headlights' look for most of the third period. Watched the game live as it was broadcast on Midwest Sports Channel and was pretty sure the crowd noise blew the roof off the old place. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon game.

Yes, when considering a new nickname I believe is not a great choice. North Dakota is also the Peace Garden State but I think the 'Gardeners' is a bad name as well.
