If you can afford season tickets, I would ask that you "suck it up" and buy season tickets. The kids deserve our support and the Athletic Department needs our $!

If you could make three recommendations to our new AD, what would they be? This can be anything from "understanding UND's culture" to facilities to marketing. Bison fans - please do not comment, interject or otherwise voice your opinions! Thanks!

That is great news for a lot of reasons: 1) He is a very talented player who should contribute a great deal immediately, 2) it would have been difficult to lose him to SU as a walk-on and 3) it may help in the recruiting of ND kids in the future. There are supposed to be 2-3 talented underclassmen in the state who will be able to play DI ball.

I assume that you do not have a electronic copy of the spring roster that you could post. I see they have not posted it on the athletic website. Have any of the linemen had any major weight gains or losses? Any non-skill position for that matter.

It is interesting which photo the Forum used in their story compared to the Herald. He sort of looks like a goof ball in the Forum while he looks pretty good in the Herald picture! Coincidence - I think not!

I continue to be amazed - it certainly appeared to me that Rob was going to "appear out of nowhere" as our next AD! Well, I have heard a lot of good things about Faison - we better all get on board and support him!

Goon - I agree with each of your comments - this is yet another situation that was very poorly handled. This time is wasn't (yet at least) the fault of the administration or the search committee. The bottom line is that we need to hire the best candidate for the job. I don't know that Rob is the best candidate - although I think the department needs "him". The suggestion to e-mail Kelley and Kupchella expressing our thoughts was made earlier. I strongly agree that anyone who feels strongly about this should do so - I would do it today!! Some good news: Nick Haugen, the guard from Rockford, MN, who signed with us last fall, has had a very good senior season thus far. He is averaging about 20 points/game, went over 2,000 career points awhile back and is a finalist (one of 20 so far) for Mr. Basketball. He has led his team (28-2) to the upcoming State 2A tourney. Lots of good things are being said about him. Depending where you look, he is listed anywhere between 6'1" and 6'3".

But they were "necessary" transfers needed to fill immediately holes. I am quite sure the current staff wants to recruit primarily freshmen with an occasional transfer to fill a hole. I would guess they will try to find a big transfer who can play the post for next year.

The guys really played - especially down the stretch when they have normally struggled!

I believe the signing date is April 16th this year - a little later than normal! We have quite a few offers out, mostly to freshman - some talented kids. As far as I know, we do not have any commitments yet.

Sioux are up 40-38 at halftime - seem to be playing reasonably well!

Does anyone have any insight yet as to who will be UND preferred walk-ons this fall? Also, any info on Duraney White, the Canadian who had supposedly committed to the Sioux?

I have also heard this rumor - don't have any idea whether there is any truth to it! I also heard that we already have nine games confirmed for the 2009 season. If that is true, we are in a very good position for '09!
