Has anyone seen the men work out? If so, your thoughts?

While most of us were very disappointed that UND's schedule included a two-week layoff, it may end up being a very good thing! Many of our injured players are healing up a bit and it is allowing our coaching staff to do some serious talent assessment and recruiting during the season - a rare opportunity! Of course, if the team is not sharp when play resumes, it may not have been such a good thing! Although I am not a fan of recruiting a lot of JC players, I am glad we are doing so for next year. We lose a lot of talent and we are very thin in many positions. It will be important that we are very respectable next year - we don't have to be 9-2 or 8-3 (although that would be great!) but we do need to play people tough and continue to make progress as a DI team.

My understanding is that Otto will play. That is good news as long as he is healthy enough to play well!

You are correct about Belotti. I was wrong in my thinking that you didn't have to sit out a year if you transferred "up".

Does anyone know Otto's status for this weekend? It will be a scary Saturday without him. What about Saporu? I was one that agreed that he should redshirt but, if he is healthy, we need him. On a related note, Saporu has a brother who is supposed to be a real stud. I wonder if we have a chance of landing him. Does anyone know if Justin Belotti (the transfer from Mankato) has seen any action yet? Supposedly, he is quite talented although I had understood that he started as a true freshman last year but, per his bio, he appeared in only five games and made three tackles.

Has anyone seen the women work out? Is Privratsky healthy? How about Bagaason?

Is it a given that this is Brady's last year of eligibility or is there an NCAA ruling pending?

Thanks for the info! When did you last talk to him? I didn't know if he was ineligible or not but I do know that he was going to be redshirted! Hopefully, you are correct!

Very disappointing - for all of us UND fans but, more so, for this young man!

I agree with your comments - I was very pleased/proud of the attendance! I watched the game on the internet. It was obviously a good, noisy crowd - although it is frustrating that so many left early (somewhat understandable on a weeknight). I am curious about the perspective of those who were at the game: Will the majority of these fans be back? In other words, did there appear to be a lot of military folks who probably were there just for the game honoring them? Did a Thursday night/first game of the season bring out a lot of people who may not be back? Was the student crowd any larger than normal? The students turn out well but it would be good to have even more there to assist with the energy level of the building. Any other observations about the crowd?

Especially when TAMKU had a time advantage after the 1st quarter. It was 30:27 vs. 14:33 after that including a 20:50 to 9:10 advantage in the 2nd half!

Great crowd - I hope they keep coming back!!!
