I understand that we should all be prepared for some bad news regarding Murray!

Once it's over how long will you continue to wear the Sioux Logo

I guess I don't understand how you feel that withholding contributions to the Athletic Department is a way to protest the Administration's and faculty's liberal viewpoints (by the way, I agree with that assessment). Having a weak Athletic Dept at a university only helps the majority of the faculty/leadership who feel there is already too much emphasis and too much $ spent on athletics. Our teams, coaches and athletes have nothing to do with the folks that you are so disappointed in. There are just trying to do their best to win games and represent UND in a positive manner. With very few exception, they do the latter very well! I fully agree that these are tough times - if someone has to cut back on their contributions, I fully understand that. Family must come first! -

If you are going to abandon UND, its young athletes and it athletic program, why don't you abandon us now and get off this board. Withholding your support only hurts the students and program! -
**************************************************************** I just found some info. Not nearly as many as normal. What happened to Bismarck, etc.? I am also surprised that these aren't being promoted on the fightingsioux.com website. They were promoted there in the past, weren't they? Normally the promotion of Sioux-Per Swing golf outings has started by now. At this point, I have not even seen a schedule - have I missed it? I would certainly hope that they aren't being discontinued. It is a great way to create/improve fan interest plus raise some scholarship $! Anyone have any knowledge as to what know what is happening with these golf tourneys?

Per http://www.fargosouthgirlsbasketball.com, Fargo South's Caitlyn Haring will be playing both BB and soccer at UND. She may be getting some scholarship $ for soccer but I assume she is walking on for BB. Who has seen her play? She doesn't score much but has great stats otherwise! Can anyone give us some insight about her talents and the likelihood of her contributing?

You are correct - Rico was not a finalist. I should have pointed that out! I assume the poster was referring to Rico - there wasn't another NSIC coach let go recently, was there?
-
Rico Burkett at Wayne State.

I hadn't given this too much thought but did a little research on Dillon this morning. We need to hope she doesn't change her mind - it looks like she can be a dandy: 5'11" freshman guard with a lot of skills already!

2010 North Dakota recruits from Wisconsin
UND Fan replied to WisconsinFootballer25's topic in Football
Please excuse the smart ass remark from one of our posters. We really appreciate the information - keep it coming! -
I am quite sure UND (along with USD and SDSU) offered Wolters during the early signing period. He decided to wait until spring to make a decision. I assume we withdrew our offer after we signed the Schuler kid out of Ohio (similar players). It is interesting to note that I have never seen Wolteers listed as any taller than 6'3" but Hallstrom has him at 6'4 1/2" and the Forum's Schnepf says he's 6'5".
-
I was curious about Jones' comment that there were three other players on the roster who play the point!
-
In looking at the spring roster, it appears that we lost a few kids (probably fewer than normal) from last year's team. Most notably: Brandon Dungy Sr RB Mark Kubacki So LB Filipe Fonseca da Silva Fr LB Chris Schaan Fr LB I am not sure any of them are major losses but a couple of the LBs were highly thought of when they were recruited.
-
I had hoped that we would have learned by now that the center from Lake Region (or some other talented recruit) had signed with us. Anyone know if an announcement is forthcoming?
-
Unless someone has decided that they will not return next year, there is no $ available. At this point, I think everyone is coming back.
-
Per Wisconsin Preps, we are among many schools who have offered 6'11" power forward, Ben Mills, of Hartland Arrowhead. I agree that point guard is a priority but we also really need more size in the middle. It appears that Wilmer will be a contributor but we need 2-3 horses underneath. I wonder what our chances of landing McDermott are. He apparently is the real deal. It would be great to get an early commitment as a great senior season might result in some of the "bigs" going after him!
-
You are probably correct that he was asking about Chappel. I may be wrong (I hope that I am ) but it is my understanding that he will not return.
-
He is suspended for "academic reasons" I get the impression that there is a good chance he will be back but the staff will be taking a close look at others in case he doesn't return!
-
You, as well as everyone in the Red River Valley, have a bunch of prayers being generated for you from Florida! Hang in there!
-
Grow up! Now is not the time for any of this crap!!! (This wasn't directed at you, Siouxmama!)
-
UND won the first of 2 at Wisconsin today, 4-2. The second game is 2-2 in the 6th. Listening to it on Badger website.
-
Understandably, SU has delayed the start of their spring practice due to the flood. When does UND's spring ball begin? Do we know if anyone has left the program (or joined) since the start of the second semester?
-
I am somewhat surprised that NDSU over the last 2-3 years wasn't able to convince a good big man and/or power forward to join this very talented group of players. With some inside strength and offense, they would have really been good. Moorman, coming off the bench, could have been very effective! SU fans - don't get excited, my comments were not meant to negative - just an observation! You should be very proud!
-
NDSU, their fans and the State of North Dakota should be very proud of the Bison's performance today! Believe me, that is diffficult for me to admit but it is fact!
-
I believe you are correct. My thoughts are that someone is either leaving the program or potentially losing their scholarship!
