  1. I found a source for MN prospects who were either invited to and/or attended UND's Junior Day or spring game. Included are: Greg Menard, LB, Lakeville North (we have offered) Connor Wilkie, QB, Andover Nick Rathke, QB, Fridley Eji Ejiya, RB, Spring Lake Park Trey Volk, RB, Blackduck Drew Trabing, OL, Prior Lake Jason Telin, OL, Tartan Jack Vasko, OL, Hill-Murray Wyatt Russek, OL, Delano Blake Banham, Ath, Cretin-Derham Hall Michael Herzog, Ath, Detroit Lakes Blake Weber, Ath, Prior Lake Adam Kraft, Ath, Delano Kaleb Paehlke, Ath, Chisago Lakes Drew Greely, DE, Wayzata Greg Menard, LB, Lakeville North (we have offered) Payton Jordahl, FL, Perham Nick Mertes, LB, Edina Connor McCarthy, LB, Holy Angels Kyle Kalivoda, DB, Wayzata
  2. Three offers that I don't think have been reported here: WR Isaiah Lesure, 6'3”, 170, 4.6, Mount Horeb (Mount Horeb), WI WR David Williams, 6'1”, 180, Los Angeles (Dorsey), CA (3 Star - Rivals) Has offers from CSU, Hawaii, Idaho & Yale LB Hudson Watson, 6'1”, 200, Cedarburg (Cedarburg), WI
  3. That will sure help pay some bills!
  4. AJ Patty, the 6'8" PF out of Chicago who we had offered some time ago, has signed with Vincennes. I have no idea whether our offer was still on the table although I get the impression that we were no longer interested in him.
  5. Offer to a TX DE: Xavier Washington, 6'1”, 235, 4.9, Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill) TX Has offers from Air Force, N TX & Yale
  6. Another kid who Dustin Iverson apparently had significant influence over his coming to UND. He sure sounds excited about playing ball for us.
  7. Two offers: LB Greg Menard, 6'1", 215, Lakeville (North), MN Has offers from Army, IL St, Montana, NDSU, SDSU & USD RB Robert Taylor, 5'11", 175, Antioch (Deer Valley), CA Has offer from UCDavis
  8. David Jesperson has signed with Pepperdine - not sure if his brother is going there as well.
  9. That would be great news - can anyone confirm this?
  10. Wiki has been updated with competitive offers to players we have already offered. There have been many new offers.
  11. We are playing well right now. Chicago State has only won 7 games all year - you would think that we would finish league play strong against them this weekend at home.
  12. New offer: PF Daniel Meyers, 6'9", 220, Billings (Central Catholic), MT Has offer from Idaho St.
  13. Another congrats! In what field are you getting your Masters?
  14. New offer today: Nate Gehrig, 6'10", 220, PF, Waukee, IA Ours is the only offer but a lot of schools are in contact with him.

While the name of the game is to win, Mussman may retain his job with a 5-6 or 6-5 record IF: we play good, disciplined ball - unlike some games of the last couple of years. we are competitive in all games and simply get beat by a better team (quite possible). the coaching staff makes good decisions and stays away from some of the less-than-good decisions made the last couple of years. we are able to get more fans in the stands.
  16. Thanks for the post. I hope getting in on him early pays off!
  17. UNDBB75 reported this under "2012-13 Recruiting" last week. I agree that it would have been great to land him. He did visit and I understand it went very well - but he still chose UNO.
  18. Offer to a 6'5" point guard - unlikely to land him based upon his other offers: Sandy Cohen, 6'5”, 180, Seymour (Seymour), WI Has offers Geo. Wash, Green Bay, LaSalle, Marquette, Memphis, Milwaukee & UMN
  19. We have offered David Jesperson, a 6'9", forward out of Merrill, WS. The story from WSN: Height/Weight 6' 9"/ 205 Grad Year 2013 Bio A skilled forward who can make shots facing the basket or score around the rim with his superior size, Jesperson averaged 19.1 ppg as a senior and earned unanimous first-team all-league honors in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. NCAA Division I offers from Air Force, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, Houston Baptist and The Citadel. Colgate, North Dakota and Santa Clara also expressing strong interest. An interesting (and great) scenario would be his older brother joining him. Paul, a soph. guard at Virginia, is transferring. What a great package deal that would be. The write-up from Virgina Sports: "The 6-6 Jesperson averaged 3.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 56 career games at Virginia. He started 33 of 35 games in 2012-13, averaging 4.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Jesperson tallied a career-high 12 points in Virginia’s 80-69 win at Maryland on Feb. 10. “I would really like to thank my coaches, teammates and all of my supporters for the opportunity I had at UVa,” Jesperson said. “They made my time here unforgettable and I’m extremely grateful for that. I wish them the best and I’m looking forward to continuing my college career at my new school.” (Photo from virginiasports.com)"

  21. Another offer to a safety: Tim McCoy, 6', 195, Big Sandy (Harmony), TX
  22. Have we heard anything definitive about Adams' injury? How serious is it?
  23. Another Brown in the defensive backfield? Offer: Greg Brown, 5'11", 172, Dallas (Bryan Adams), TX
  24. FSSD: In general, I think the low numbers are in part due to three factors: 1) In general, relatively new head coaches with mens football and basketball. *************************** While I fully agree with the comments that our FB and BB head coaches are paid much less than others (and that doesn't seem right), as FSSD notes, they both got the first head coaching jobs when we were still DII. They haven't been overly successful so they haven't gotten large increases. Simply giving each of them a $40K raise wouldn't all of a sudden make them better coaches or the programs much successful. Hockey is No 1. at UND and probably always will be. However, I believe our existing FB and BB head coaches will be rewarded well if their programs prosper. I also think that, if they are replaced, UND will open up the purse strings to bring in quality replacements.
  25. If we had someone who could score inside, they would get the ball! Plus it would open things up more for our outside scorers.
