How about any word on which, if any, Sioux football games will be televised this year? (The Bison will have at least 3)

I have to admit I've never heard of him before. Was he mentioned on this (or other) thread before and I just don't recall it?

In my basement it's pretty cold in midwinter. I have baseboard electric heaters but if it's just me I throw a blanket on as I sit on the couch. I think the plasma will be just fine for my purposes. Also, from what I read, the 600hz has to do with "motion recovery" which, according to one person writing a review, is perfect for hockey. Another thing I read, all cable and satellite comes in at 720p, so if you have a 1080p, it won't do you any good. But, if I can't afford it for this winter, I'll stick with SD, and if so Sioux hockey isn't in HD anyway, no big deal. But, I believe some day' it will. All TV will be HD some day.

$600 to $700 last I checked.

Don't have one, but if Sioux broadcasts go HD, I'M GETTIN ONE! (After reading research for months, 42" 720p 600hz for basement is taylor made for hockey).

"Except for the hockey people"...........if you look at the number of topics and replies on this site for hockey compared to the other sports, this appears to be a significant number.

Some say Gopher hockey has nothing to do with Sioux hockey.....reading this forum, we know that's not true. Whenever the Gophers played the Sioux in hockey and Mr. Dubay was doing his thing, we all had a lot to say about him.

I don't care how anyone feels about him personally, that is so sad. He obviously had a very sucessful career and now...........GEEZ!

I keep wondering who of the returning players is going to have a breakout year? Who is going to dramatically improve over their last year's performance? Surely there are a number of players who have that potential.

I predict that I will be damn glad when the season finally starts, no matter how we do.

Way back when, I recall Brent Bobyk being switched fron forward to defenceman, although I'm not sure of the year or how many games. I think it was in 87-88.

Holy smokes! Never thought that would happen! Anybody know what prompted this? Wow! I wonder what the spin on this will be coming out of the Twin Cities? If true, this is a major coup for Sioux (or whatever) women's hockey! (Is it politically correct to say "coup"? After all, the Sioux used to count coup...oh, never mind.)

They just stated on KVLY to stay tuned for the 10:00 P.M. sports for an announcement concerning a "possibly big addition" to UND hockey. I put this under this thread because they made it sound like a recruiting announcement. Maybe it's something else......anybody have any insight?

Hmmmmm..........that's obviously for only the first half of the season.

So, what does everyone think? Will he be at UND or the USHL next year? And, when will we find out for sure?

I don't know........if Lee Goren couldn't/hasn't made it, I would think that VV and Porter would have a tough time.
