I sure hope so. Losses like this are tough to take. Getting blown out by BC continually in Frozen Fours stings less than this. I'm disappointed in the tonight's result but I am in no way disappointed in the UND squad I saw out on the ice against Minnesota. It's hard not to be disappointed in the result because of the effort the players had. They gave it their all and it sucks to see them lose in such a fashion. But yes, we wouldn't be talking about this at all if Ohio State had won..

All I can say is, I hope the Fire Hakstol fools will give the guy a stay of execution over the summer. There is no question that he did have the boys ready to come out and play against Minnesota. Just a !@#!$ deal with the end result. I was silently hoping to myself that this years team would win #8. Mainly because this was with no question the least heralded and unlikely team we've had in quite a while. This team went farther than most people expected. This sucks but it is how it goes some times. I just hope that UND can get #8 soon. These kinds of losses take a toll on the heart. PS Thank you seniors!!!! Going to miss all of them. Especially Simpson.

Same, I'm going to be thinking of it all night. With that said though, Minnesota's road to getting #6 hasn't been easy. If they beat Union on Saturday, there is no question they earned it.

They've been alright so far....I fully expect the flak to start tomorrow though or by the weekend. They seem to be at least giving us the time to lick our wounds... =/

Well it reminded me of UND against BC in the 2008 Frozen Four semifinal. Got totally shellacked by BC and if it weren't for Jake Marto in the waning minutes of the third period, would've been shutout 6-0. BC has a knack for embarrassing western teams.... I was just telling a friend the same thing. Really like their jerseys. Gotta appreciate the ole red, white, and blue colors.
