University of North Dakota Hockey 2014-15 season
SiouxFanatic replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
It's horrific just watching the youtube replay of it. -
The way Stecher went into those boards and how he reacted...didn't look good. Gonna hope for the best but he might be out for a while which is highly unfortunate Silver lining, UND has Nick Mattson and Andrew Panzarella as backups. When Mattson is on his game he can be very good. Just needs to gain his confidence back.
-
Funny how the resident troll shuts up and disappears like that when UND comes back.
-
well a win is a win....

^ Exactly. It took a while to form the BTHC and they only had to wait for one more program to add D1 hockey! Yes it'll most likely be inevitable but unless five other PAC12 schools have big time donors that want D1 hockey, a PAC12 hockey conference ain't gonna happen for a while.

Yep but if I were a Badger fan, I would be concerned.
-
Not sure of the validity but a Minnesota fan posted on GPL that Brock Boeser who just recently decommitted from Wisconsin is considering BC, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
-
@SiouxScore: In regards to Duluth, yes. Austin Farley is a reincarnation of Robbie Earl.
-
Duluth looking really good. Should be a fun series when UND plays them.
-
Michigan Tech deserves it more. They just swept Bemidji to remain undefeated. We probably will still pass them since they got swept by Duluth.
-
Wow!!!! Sick goal by Caggs!!
-
Gonna get burned eventually when you have a very poor start of the game. Credit to Miami though, talk about vastly improved from last year. Much different team. Just based on all the skirmishes, you can tell this is a budding rivalry.
-
Be cool if ESPN brought back Gary Thorne at least for the Frozen Four games. I'd take Thorne over Buccigross any day.
-
Good game to watch. As another poster said, that Badger own goal absolutely killed any mojo the Badgers had and the floodgates opened as a result. I really liked the WPT broadcast. The commentators were an absolute riot to listen to. Wish Midco's play by play guy and color guy had the same kind of chemistry...wouldn't have to have them on mute.
-
Yep, very lame. Talk about being way behind the times and this is the kind of website the mighty Big Ten runs? It isn't very user friendly. They don't even tell you how to cancel via the FAQS page. Even worse, they don't even provide a link under your account page where it displays the subscription you have. Shady.
-
Yep. He was alright tonight but he needs and can be much more sharper. Especially tomorrow as you say because UW is going to really push for a win.
-
Friday's game will have a stream available for a fee via BTN Plus subscription...$9.95 for a monthly school pass. Cancel immediately after since it auto-renews. Saturday's game will be streamed as well but for free via BTN2Go granted your TV Provider carries the BTN channel. Wisconsin Public Television is airing the Saturday game on TV. Link: http://www.btn2go.com/schedule?date=2014-11-10&sids=MHO Midco has picked up the games on occasion when WPT has aired the games in the past. Maybe they'll pick up the Saturday game.
-
That was my immediate thought when it happened lol
-
If you are a Midcontinent cable subscriber, the game is on Lakeland PBS channel 597 or WCHA.tv as others have mentioned.
-
I wouldn't mind if UND scores 4 or 6 goals.. PS Should probably get your hand checked out in regards to that sixth finger on one hand.
-
Not much to say other than UND laid huge turd....absolutely embarrassing. Gonna get shellacked tomorrow if they play with the same lack of effort and sloppiness that they displayed tonight.
-
If Bowling Green was willing to make the same committments like WMU has towards their hockey program, they probably would've already been invited to the NCHC. I'd be all for Bowling Green joining the conference if they showed they are willing to invest more into their hockey program.
-
It goes both ways though. Some people here do the same thing. Nothing new indeed.

No offense but I think there's quite a difference between Rocco and the players you mentioned. Toews, Oshie, and Parise were all ready to go pro. Hell, we got Oshie for a bloody bonus year and Toews could've easily left after his freshman year. All three players were impact players while Rocco showed flashes of it but also disappeared in games as well..... Plus they are 1st round picks. Their loyalty is weighed differently! Haha! ---------- With that said, adios Rocco. Too bad he's leaving early but he's gotta do what he's gotta do.
