  1. Dunno if this is the right place to ask Jim but with the nickname change now being imminent will this site be having a name change to go along with whatever new nickname that the University of North Dakota adopts?
  2. Wow, the Penguins handed the Capitals a butt-whooping. What a bad way to end a series. The Caps were never in the game. Looks like I'll be cheering for Toews & the Blackhawks.
  3. Great to watch Toews net 2 goals
  4. I remember the Grand Forks Varmints baseball team. Always enjoyed watching the Minot Mallards beat them Happy B-Day Kauk
  5. Oh well, INCH obviously doesn't mind another serving of crow.
  6. Your right, I remember Mike Prpich posting a thread on here thanking the fans after the Fighting Sioux season came to close his senior year. or was that a phony? or maybe I'm just making it up?
  7. This is encouraging news to hear. Still a long road ahead but definitely encouraging news regardless.
  8. What's wrong with it being an old article? If anything it makes it even more ridiculous with the notion of dynasty in there heads beginning over a year ago. Anyways, it's just become a running joke on Miami(the whole dynasty thing).
  9. I for one am looking forward to seeing Kristo and Cichy and the rest of the freshman class wearing Sioux jerseys . The 2008-2009 is over. Bring on 2009-2010 season!
  10. I heard there arena is a nice facility. By the pictures of it, it certainly does. However, I could never cheer for Miami and there dynasty. GO Bemidji State Beavers!!
  11. Indeed. I don't feel to bad now.
  12. Simply awesome. GO BSU!! This isn't the last year of the CHA. Next season will be. I do believe they lose the autobid though. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  13. Beavers going to the frozen four!!! GO BSU!!! Scored an empty netter to make it 4-1.
  14. Day after, and I'm already over the loss. It sucks that we lost but ah well I'm over it . Looking forward to next season already!! Is it October yet? GO SIOUX!!!
  15. I sure hope so. I miss the fear in opponents whenever they had to enter the UND zone and they had to get past guys like Greene, Smaby, and of course Matt Jones to get a shot at our goalie. I especially remember in that Worcester regional when we had to play BU and BC those guys sure put a clinic on them If we can have that kind of Defensive Corp again with some offensive defenseman like Genoway and Marto I think that'd bring good things.
  16. Yeah, BU look like they are on a mission to destroy and decimate anyone in there path. They are good. I was impressed. Now if that statement jinxes them I wouldn't feel bad at all though
  17. Indeed! The BC game last year was easy to take since we were just completely outplayed and dominated by BC. When the games are close like this....it really hurts to lose. This one will be a little hard to get over but nothing will come close to how I felt when the 2003-2004 Fighting Sioux squad lost to Denver in the West Regional Final.
  18. Me neither. Even during the summer I got hockey my mind. October needs to come early this year!
  19. GO UMD!! As the last team representing the WCHA I hope they can beat Miami and go to the Frozen Four and be the lone representative of the WCHA.
  20. I was hesitant to say VV as a possibility when I posted But glad my line of thinking wasn't far fetched. But your right, I really don't see anyone else leaving early besides VV. We've got at least another year out of Gregoire. and I see Hextall being a 3 or 4 year kid.
  21. Gotta say though whether it be coincidence or not. Teams that win the MacNaughton Cup seem to fall flat come post-season.
  22. Who are possibilities for Sioux players to leave early? Any? I'm thinking maybe VandeVelde. He definitely improved his play big time this season.
  23. lol Twas' only a matter of time.
  24. Also, I wanted to mention that I agree with the poster who said they were impressed with how Blood stepped up after LaPoint's injury. I agree with you. You really didn't hear his name much but when he was on the ice he was very solid and reliable. Looking forward to seeing him grow as a UND Defenseman .
  25. Really? No one is saying they won't feel crappy. But if people want to vent there frustration on the loss here then so be it. It's a message board after all. This loss is a fresh and open wound. We're still Fighting Sioux fans in the end and will support and follow them whether they win or lose.
