Anyone else watch part of the CCHA tourney yesterday? What a joke. Joe Louis arena in Detroit was a mausoleum, even for the Michigan-Michigan State game. Compare that to the WCHA which set records in attendance in each of the first three games of the tournament. #1 league has the #1 fans (this is an average of course, as some WCHA teams -spelled Denver, don't appear to have fans).

MTU had been the only team to make it from the play-in game to the championship prior to tonight. SCSU is now the second team. MTU did not win, so no play-in game team has won the championship.

Boy, if N. J. Petry could see this thread there would be another seething letter to the editor about unsportsmanship and hockey, resplendent with four letter words and everything. In my case, I was on the "Tastes Great" side until a few years ago when I had to start taking the "Less Filling" characteristic into consideration. Now, at my age, both matter.
