  1. Rock on NTF!! (Of course they STILL won't see it, they never will, we just have to stay the course. Great post though)
  2. If Bennett can take his lips off that bottle long enough to tell me that he is offended by my "rabbit choker" comments then I'll.....wait, no I won't. So what? You think because I'm Indian that I have to be at peace w/ all Indians? Not on your life. I just call it like I see it. Plain and simple.
  3. The Cavalry aren't a people. Of course you will never get it. Also, I don't remember the last time I seen a leprechaun, but I do remember the last time I seen a Sioux, or thousands of them, just recently actually......
  4. I like that!!! That way I have an excuse to not hold back on campus. Lets run w/ that Sica!!!!
  5. No matter what sweatshirt you wear or what tattoos you get, you'll never be SIOUX. You don't have what it takes, sorry.
  6. Natives don't get free Tuition.....your ignorance spreads like a wildfire amongst your kind. Of course you Sioux Lovers (not the Real Sioux, of course) don't do your history and just assume before you speak/type. Dummy. And by the way, all but 2 of the programs are funded from outside of the State, meaning they have to PAY to be on campus, do your homework. Man, how many times does this have to be explained over and over, just because y'all are to ignorant (or stupid, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt), to do your homework.
  7. WOW, Go figure!!! Lets see.....TM is designing the logos, TM has a majority of the Indians going to school on this campus, TM is the one trying to get the casino here, and I bet if you lined up MANY, not all, but MANY of the TM NDNs w/ average joe-shmo Caucasian people on the streets, I bet you couldn't even tell them apart. I do know that because many of the TM Natives don't look Indian, they don't face the racism the rest of us Genetic and Phenotypic looking Indian face. We'll see what happens, but they aren't Sioux, so what does it matter anyways? Thats like the a Cherokee Tribe saying that the Seminole logo/mascot is okay....lol.
  8. When will you people ever get it through your thick skulls? The name SIOUX is the name used when referring to the L/D/N nation. Some people call themselves Sioux, others will call themselves Lakota, Dakota, Nakota. But regardless of that issue, there would still be this INDIAN LOGO that is in place. Even if the SIOUX Nation didn't call themselves SIOUX, and UND used it, we'd all still know who the hell they are talking about, with that obnoxious logo. Of course if your reading this, your trying to come up w/ defensive comments rather than see that the question you are asking is not answering anything, just trying to cover up a bigger problem.
  9. Why go ballistic? I'm sure I can go online and find something that would make everyone hate me, too, but why? I thought this place was to talk about the name. I would LOVE to see someone wear one of these for the homecoming parade, though. I triple dog dare you. Then we can meet, face to face.
  10. You don't even know who Red Cloud was. Just because you finally have to see the "truth" you have to start attacking. Keep attacking. We can take it. It will take more than your attacks to make us go away. Hetche to.
  11. Wow, who's the racist here, I didn't even think of dragging our children into this, but you obviously have. As for KupCake, I know him personally, and I can care less how he feels for me. AGAIN, DO YOUR HISTORY. Never once did our tribal leaders give UND the right to use this name. And even if a Tribe did, does that make it okay for the entire Sioux Nation? That would be like ND making a pact with France for an issue that would affect the entire USA. You know, don't go to the casinos. I don't. Don't buy NA products, I don't (I make all my stuff). Don't even look at NA's, especially with your attitude. We don't need your help (we'll just take your parent's and your grandparents $$$$)....ha...that was pretty funny.... I didn't come here to make friends. I came here to discuss this name, but it has become attack after attack, and now that I bite back, I'm the racist. That's fine, if fighting for equality for my people makes me a racist, I'm a damn racist.
  12. Uh oh, I think you have to pick up a book to find that answer, most likely something w/o pictures...lol, find information about treaties, tribal governments, and just history in general, then I bet you'd find your answers
  13. Do you honestly believe that this issue will EVER go away until the name is retired? Even if the NCAA didn't side w/ us, do you think we will stop in our quest to retire this name? Fat chance. Every day on this campus the noose gets tighter around your beloved logo head, and we won't stop until its changed, plain and simple. Look around campus, even w/ the influence of the Dead nazi-lover, changes are being made, and the use of that logo is slowly being phased out. Read your Student handbook, read past resolutions by Student Senate/University Senate. People are tired of fighting this losing battle and its only a matter of time before the name is change. Hetche to.
  14. I knew this, but its as good as gold come Friday.
  15. So there is still hope.....oh thank GOD for that....lol, speaking of which, I bet Jesus wouldn't be seen in a Sioux Jersey, but then again, most "christians" in this town are the ones closing down the bars....lol.
  16. Its unfortunate that your mentality is that shared by many, and that is that all of these programs are directly tied to the use of the name. I wonder if that was the intention of the start up of all of these programs. They should have did their history and seen that the Sioux Nation can't be bought (look at the 100's of millions left in trust for the Black Hills). Wow, y'all get pretty pissy when things don't go your way...lol, its pretty funny because all of these attacks on me won't get Spirit Lake to change their mind.
  17. You're proud of less than 4% when the population of Natives in this state is well over 7%......wow, go figure, and of that 4%, I would safely say that half of the Natives are not from this region, and less than half of the remainder is Sioux, go figure.
