Then go spend your time on Bville. Most of us like SiouxSports without the Bville attitude.

I kind of like it, the "Fracking Bas---ds". I'm pretty sure it's unique.

Montana fans don't have to wait until they play you in DI, they've already had the experience of playing NDSU 1 time and that is normally enough. Why would anyone want to put up with the nonsense even a second time? Lakes may be the worst of the bunch, but there are plenty of obnoxious NDSU fans. Definitely more than any other fan base I've seen. Obnoxious and fun only go together if you are on the same side. People you're being obnoxious toward don't find it fun unless you're friends and it is part of the friendship. Especially not when it becomes part of pretty much every conversation. And NDSU fans are obnoxious to everyone that isn't an NDSU fan. That's why most schools don't want to deal with you. You and your pals annoy the vast majority of non-NDSU fans. What is even sadder is the way that NDSU fans infect almost any thread involving UND on pretty much every forum. But you go ahead thinking that you and your buddies are fun, people will continue being annoyed with you. That's a great legacy for you to build for yourself.

No, that's their reputation.

If I remember right, there was an effort through the Alumni Association to have a UND license plate at about the same time as NDSU. I am pretty sure that they decided against doing a UND plate at that time, but I don't remember why. It might be a good time to explore the issue again.

You're right, there is no easy way to get to Houghton. I think the hockey team drives to all WCHA games except Alaska and the 2 Colorado schools. The Big Sky will involve a lot of air miles. But so did the Great West and that wasn't nearly as much fun.
-
I thought that the hockey team drove all the way to Houghton. They drive to Duluth, spend the night, then drive the rest of the way the next day.
-
And since when did you get to decide what is worth talking about? Seems a little presumptuous doesn't it?
-
I didn't realize that CS and AGS were NDSU boards. When did that happen? It appears that they are meant for all of FCS, not just your favorite school. And only NDSU fans would have considered that post smack against their school. Of course when you're insecure, a lot of things can appear to be smack against you. Have you always been insecure?

UND doesn't charter for all sports. I'm pretty sure that even basketball doesn't fly charter. The distance makes the biggest difference for the non-revenue sports. Track, golf, baseball, softball, soccer, etc. all have to travel but they aren't going to fly charter and would drive any place they possible could. Unfortunately, there are a limited number of smaller Division I programs so they all have to travel long distances. NMSU has been in the WAC for a while so they are used to traveling. The Big Sky would not be a problem for them as far as travel is concerned. The 2 main questions are would NMSU be willing to take what they would consider a step down to the Big Sky, and would the Big Sky be interested in another school that is somewhat outside the conference footprint.

It looks like the subject needs to return to the 10 NDSU football players that have been charged with voter fraud. This thread really isn't about whether Bohl's treatment of these 10 will affect his move to the next level. Or whether UND students might commit voter fraud. This thread is talking about the 10 current players and 3 former players at NDSU that did commit voter fraud, and how they are being treated. Will the President of NDSU be releasing any more clarifications this week?

I had several interns from UND over the past decade and have known quite a few other students. That includes some football players and hockey players. All of the students that I've known have been bright enough to know what forgery is and that it's illegal. But I've only known a small percentage of the UND students during that period, and most of them were good students, so maybe I haven't seen the entire picture. In any case, there is no excuse for not knowing a pretty basic part of the law.

I watched it several times. It is almost impossible to see for sure because of the distance on all of the angles. But it does look like he could have gotten the toes of the right foot to touch down before the left leg lands out of bounds and the right foot comes back down. What makes it even harder to say for sure is you can't see exactly when he had possession, was it before he touched the right foot down or after. As long as the touchdown call was made on the field, there isn't enough in the replays to overturn. And it might be the right call anyway if that right foot touched the ground.

During Mussman's radio interview after the game last night he made it sound like Brown should be ready for next week.

You have become quite a troll lately. You were actually trying to fit in for a while. But I guess your masters down at Bville finally won the battle and finished the brainwashing. You really add nothing but noise to this site.

It isn't really 4 stages of punishment, there are 4 different places they can be punished. The football team and athletic department have the right, and responsibility, to punish players that break team rules. They don't have to wait for anyone else to act or anyone else to approve. They have just chosen not to punish the players, at least not in a public way. The coach and AD don't believe this was a serious crime because it didn't involve sex, violence or alcohol. Everyone (associated with NDSU anyway) knows that those are the only serious crimes.
-
They may not have known the complete ramifications, but even grade school kids know that you aren't supposed to sign someone else's name. I can't believe that there is a college kid in the country that doesn't know it is illegal to sign someone else's name on a legal document. And their education really failed them if they didn't understand that these were legal documents, especially when they came from the state government and had to be notarized. If they didn't realize that they were doing something illegal they probably don't belong in college.

Hakstol bases almost all of his decisions about who gets playing time on how they perform in practice and no one seems to have a problem with it. You just don't like Mussman. It is hard to know for sure based on what we saw against Mines. But Hanson looked better than Hendrickson during that game. Hanson seemed to be in total control. The only pass he didn't complete was a ball he threw away on purpose. They had 2 botched snaps, but no one sitting in the stands can know for sure whether the problem was the center, the QB or both. And most people don't support a player losing a starting position just because they get hurt. My guess is that Hanson will get the start when he is healthy. They may hold him out an extra week to make sure he is healthy. And Hendrickson will get more playing time now than he would have before. But I'm pretty sure that Hanson will be starting again soon.

I'm pretty sure that everyone that has been arrested for synthetic drugs is being punished through the proper channels. If they are being punished, then there is no outrage about them not being punished. Can you follow that? Part of the reason this thread has had legs is because the football players were not punished in a manner that is consistent with past punishments handed out at NDSU. Next, your coach and AD minimized the severity of the crime multiple times, and Mr. Taylor said that no one would be suspended because the players had suffered enough. Again he was minimizing the crime and also trying to make criminals into victims. Remember that? Then the President of your fine school, which many of us pay taxes to support, issues not 1, not 2, but 3 clarifications about how the players are going to be treated, in the same week. And finally, this thread continues to grow because moronic Bvillers keep coming over and trying to tell members of this board that it is over, it isn't a big deal, it isn't important, we shouldn't be talking about it, etc. Do you really think that helps your cause? It doesn't. Yes, part of this discussion is because the players charged with a crime are from NDSU. But, if the situation had been handled well, it wouldn't have been discussed nearly as long. If you and your friends didn't spend so much time trying to "educate" UND fans, it wouldn't have been discussed nearly as long. If 10 current and 3 former football players hadn't forged signatures on petitions and interfered with the election process in the state of North Dakota, it wouldn't have been discussed at all. So try correcting things happening on campus in Fargo rather than annoying us here on this forum.
-
Do you read the newspaper, or anything else besides Bville? A lot of people around North Dakota are upset about the voter fraud. A lot of NDSU fans are upset about the voter fraud, ask your President about emails he has been getting. And the story has been in newspapers around the country. But I guess if Bville and Gene Taylor say everything is alright, it must be alright. I am amazed at the Bison trolls that have appeared here in the last couple of days trying to deflect the story. The story on this thread is that UND lost a football game to a FBS team on the road, and that the defense and the running game need work. The story about voter fraud can be found in the Community section.
-
It's the Community forum. There is plenty of room to talk about UND and other sports on other threads. And this thread probably wouldn't be nearly as long if the trolls from down south hadn't tried to push their agenda, repeatedly. They would take over if they were allowed. Someone needs to refute the half-truths and no-truths they try to spread. Considering they are the top athletic program in the country, in their minds, it's a wonder they have time to waste over here. And it's interesting that they don't see that they are a large part of the reason that the thread continues to grow.
-
This is a legal issue that affects the entire state of North Dakota. The election process is important to some of us, sorry it isn't important to you. If you don't want to read about it, don't. This one isn't going away until the final determinations are made.
-
Actually it's 10 players rather than 8 that are charged with a class A misdemeanor of voter fraud. I know that it can be difficult to keep track of the Bison football players having trouble with the law. The legal process is only 1 part of the story. There is the student code of conduct part of the story. And there are the potential penalties that can be applied by the co-curricular activity, also known as football. The penalties imposed by the co-curricular activity are the main interest here, since the legal system is separate and will be very visible to the public. After all, there have been many examples of football players being suspended for lesser crimes. People are interested to see if the head coach and AD have any integrity or whether they are going to let the crimes slide because they don't believe the crimes are serious. But thanks for posting in the thread and keeping the discussion going so that we can let everyone about the issues.

Are you talking about just UND games or for all Midco Sports broadcasts? I thought that they were going to use the same equipment for UND games. Maybe they are using a different distribution system and losing some signal. I know that they are working on HD for next year for UND sports. And I know that they were setting up a studio in Grand Forks, but I don't know what kind of equipment they were going to be working with.
-
They are on the Midco Sports Net schedule, and FCS said they were broadcasting all of the UND home hockey games, so they should be available in most of the same places games were available last year.
