In this 5 min PP, UND's had maybe 3 shots. WEAK!
-
Yes. Walski is probably done after this one. Too bad - we all had hopes that he might step it up. But, what is up with nobody on our team being able to stickhandle tonight? On the PP, they just look brutal - as was highlighted by the 5-on-3 where UND did nothing.
-
Unfortunately, this team hasn't shown it can score a single goal, let alone 3 in one period.
-
5 on 3 and UND spent the whole time in their own zone. This team is stinking it up out there!
-
Exactly. Those of us who have been fans for a long time know that a program's continued success depends on the current people involved taking pride and performing at a high level. A also agree that, on a fan message board, especially in a single game thread, complaining about team performance is completely acceptable. If you want to police other people's opinions, you are in the wrong country.
-
Yes, I'd say so. I can't remember the last time UND was 0-2 to start a season.
-
Yes, but not too many good scoring chances, until the third period.
-
I say fly em back to get home quickly. Then, skate the !*()E#$ out of them for a couple days, until they learn to play every period like the third period today.
-
One of the only positives so far has been the faceoff won-lost ratio. Unfortunately, our guys are not cycling the puck very well, and they are coughing up odd-man rushes, which was their undoing last year against BC.
-
Here's to that. If UND has trouble with UMass, they will be screwed in the WCHA, unless the learning curve goes very well.
-
At this point, they need to focus on getting win #1 against anyone. Forget about the WCHA championship. They look flat out lousy so far.
-
I'm using the BU website, and it is not up yet. What site are you on?
-
UND is not young. If you assign numbers to the players (1 for freshmen, 4 for seniors), UND's expected players have something like a 2.3 average. Compare that to: 2005-6 was 2.1 2006-7 was 2.2 Granted, last year's team was more veteran, with a whopping 2.7, but you can't call this year's team young.

Thanks for the warning. I'll be watching for your tip on which feed to buy. BTW, how are you seeing that yesterday's feed has today's game? I am looking at goterriers.com, and it says that live event is currently unavailable.

Further Hak quotes: "We have to be better back on the blue line." "If I let us get a little comfortable, I'll take that responsibility". At least Hak is admitting this game was a STINKER.
-
Hakstol says UND had a good first ten minutes, then UND got "comfortable". And, he agreed that BU looked "stronger". What more can be said. If the coach agrees that the team played soft, enough said.
-
If you are a happy fan tonight, and one that can't bring themselves to criticize a performance, then I would invite YOU to leave the Sioux family. We expect more.
-
I was thinking that myself. But, I guess the freshman looked good in practice. However, he did not look very good in tonight's game.
-
I feel like I wasted $8, and a few hours of my life, tonight.
-
Come on fans! Why are we being appologetic, or even defensive, for our "elite" team looking like crap tonight? BU looks like a better skilled, better coached team. Plain and simple. We should be emarassed by this game, and questioning what is wrong.
-
...and they look like crap tonight. No excuses - this is supposed to be "elite" Div. I hockey.
-
UND has a 38-17 faceoff-won advatage so far, but is being outshot 22-16. Something is very wrong with that stat.
-
Wow. What a pathetic period by UND. BU looks pretty good - playing with energy and creativity. What is UND's deal - their trait so far in this game is bad defense and not so many shots on goal, either. The BU announcers are being very generous to UND. Tonight, I'd call that mercy, so far.
-
What are you, the spelling police? I'll try to get it right, next time he gets walked!
-
LaPointe got walked on that goal. Our guys need to stop caughing up the puck at our blue line!
