  1. Vande is going to be our best player next year, after Osh & Dunc leave. He knows how to score.
  2. As soon as TH said "4 on 2", I started shaking my head. Could feel that one coming.
  3. "He's got to be stopped. And, I've got to stop him!"
  4. From the Herald article: "He's also ranked as the No. 59 North American skater prospect for this summer's NHL draft by the Central Scouting Bureau. That means he's projected to be a second- or third-round pick. "
  5. How about... "They took the bar! The whole bar!" or... "You screwed up. You trusted us."
  6. Wouldn't we all like to see CC stumble now? How great will that be?
  7. Seven wins in a row. But, is this a championship team? Not from what I saw tonight. Not to be a downer, but that was one of the most unsatisfactory wins I've ever seen. Oh well, at least they got the "W".
  8. Thank goodnes JPL is playing tonight. Otherwise, UND loses this one.
  9. Despite the goal, UND is NOT winning this period. They are still being outworked and outshot badly.
  10. Still just TEN shots on goal in the game. Not acceptable. Not even in a win.
  11. I just heard Andersen trash-talking to Genoway, "If you don't like it...you can " The microphone failed at that point. I wonder what is up with that?
  12. Is it just me, or is Duncan not having a good night? This is not the first time this year I have noticed that Duncan is coughing up the puck, rather than making plays.
  13. Vande is very good in traffic and in front of the net. I hope he stays for 4 years.
  14. Just saw another replay of the goal where the puck was taken from Chorney. He blew it by not keeping his stick on the puck. He tried to position his body to block the guy coming up behind him. But, but by leaving the puck lying loose, he gave it away for a goal. Chorney still needs more work. He better stay for a few more years.
  15. Three shots on goal in the 2nd? Are you @#($)*%&@#$) kidding me? That has to be one of the most pathetic periods of so-called-Sioux hockey in a long, long time.
  16. Tonight was special for me, because I finally see signs from UND that they may have the scrappiness it takes to win in the playoffs. Obviously, they still have a lot to prove (a !$*%& SWEEP would be nice), but the way they are cycling the puck, and then kicking it out quickly to the crease, is very encouraging. Plus, I saw guys playing to win tonight. Not just showing up and expecting (ala UM) things to go their way. Play hard and have the right character - and nothing can stop you. That was the directive going into this season. Will UND be able to live up to the hype after all? We shall see.
  17. TH says Vande went 14 - 4 on the faceoffs tonight. Outstanding - and he was crashing the net hard. Perhaps one of the most improved players in the WCHA?
  18. I wouldn't say he was bad. He played hard. Just didn't have anything to show for it. More than anything else, I think Hak wants to spark the other lines by moving Vande down, and Kaip, too. Maybe if Miller keeps playing this hard, he will show his potential, after all.
  19. Not surprising. UND is just a couple wins away from being in the top 4 in the pairwise. They just need a few sweeps.
  20. Great - UND put together a very solid game. Scrappy, energetic, and pretty smart. Hakstol: We did a good job defensively. We worked hard, except for one little dip. We took what was there tonight. When there were plays to be made, we did a good job. The penalty kill gave us momentum. Excellent energy, and the fans gave us a boost. We cycle hard and well. We've been talking about getting the puck to the net quicker off the cycle. What are we seeing from the new combinations? Zajac - Trupp - Frattin are clicking. Hopefully that continues to grow. Geez - how does someone else type more and post faster?
  21. What was that "spongebob squarepants" sounding thing they just played at the Ralph? Are you kidding me?
  22. Would Gordie want it any other way?
  23. UND is looking better tonight, in terms of driving to the net and playing consistent physically. Amazingly, that almost always leads to goals for the Sioux. So, can this team remember to play like this, and not lapse into Golden Gopher no-touch hockey? We shall see. They are looking great right now.
  24. 1) Who can forget? Hrkac, Joyce, and Kermit the frog (obscure reference to the students of the 80's, for those of you who don't get it) 2) Eddie? 3) Not me, but I HAVE seen two of UND's NC's in person, and seen them lose to Denver in person, as well. 4) Already answered, above 5) 1992 Alum - the best 5.5 years of my life! Well, maybe not the best, but definitely memorable. Talk about not knowing what I wanted - I finished 2 majors and nearly another (difficult) minor (space studies) before applying for graduation.
  25. Got a link? I'm having trouble finding this week's recap.
