T.J. is definitely a sight to behold but I have to give kudos to our other fresheman as well. I believe we have the best freshman in the country and God (or the NHL) willing they'll be around long enough for the Fighting Sioux hockey program to benefit from the awesome talent of these fantastic hockey players.

I had to write a persuasivce speech in Speech class. Is Dr. Fisher (Fischer?) still around? He gave me a C because I couldn't get rid of my Chicago 'twange'. Didn't know I had one until that class.

Sauce is baaaack!! Recycling a his first ever post in SiouxSports.com, topic Question about changing the name , April 15, 2005, 11:28P! Looked real familiar to me. Great memory o' mine. I'm not as old as I look. OK, I'm done slapping myself on the back, I'll slap Sauce on the dogs' food instead.

Through this long process, I have changed one view on the Sioux name. The Sioux people who want the name changed do not bellieve that our use of it is honoring the Sioux people. I have come to believe that it is the name and the Sioux people of times gone by that we are honoring, not the people of today. As I've stated recently the University of North Dakota honors the name and the ancestors of the current Sioux through the accomplishments of the students, the athletes, the alumni, and the University; the American Indians state that they are who brought the programs to UND but without the Universit,y the American Indian programs and services would not exist. That's one shortened point of view. There are many others in the Sioux Name threads.

I'm in 113 and got my seats. The letter that was sent to season ticket holders did state that we might not get our seats. I didn't know until now why not. Thanks for the info. It would be nice to know why we may not get our seats (even though it didn't affect me).

I couldn't get through via phone or online. Ran to the Ralph after work on the last day and got my seats. I agree that the order window for season ticket holders was very short. Why couldn't we have a couple of weeks before they go public? It's not like they're waiting to see if the event is actually going to take place.

Just a guess but we do have Canadian players on our teams and on most if not all the teams we play. Might be a PC PR move.

I don't remember where the question was asked about auctioning off last nights jerseys. Here's some info, Three jerseys, Prpich's, Porter's and Zajac's are being auctioned. They won't be autographed because the money is going to charity (?), to Make a Wish Foundation. You can make a bid at every game. The last day to bid is December 9 and the jerseys will be awarded the next day. I think at the game. Back from the game. The boys have a lot of work to do on the Power Play. That last penalty on them, a TOTAL set up. NE player had momemtum, Lami had plenty of time to move and didn't. Good strategic plan. We won. Prpich is still my favorite.
