  1. Well in that case, the NC$$ is likely to table their decision until after the tribe votes. This type of dessension among the leaders of the tribe will always be a part of the name/logo issue. As much as I would like this to be a done deal, IMHO it would be in our best interest to take this to court and win the decision there.
  2. It's working again!!!! Woo hooo, .
  3. I've looked and looked without success. Is this letter something that we would be shown if we went and asked for it?
  4. and father-in-law to Fighting Sioux Hockey Coach Hakstol.
  5. The appeal decision isn't back YET!!!!!!!!!!!! While Standing Rock's support is great news, remember who we're dealing with here. The changer of rules, regulations, policies, etc. The Almighty NC$$. Until, they grant us an exemption, I'm holding off popping that champagn cork.
  6. THANK YOU. I, for one, am ready, able and in a 'helping' profession able to volunteer in any program that would benefit the Sioux people of North Dakota.
  7. FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!! (I sincerely hope the members of the Standing Rock Tribal Council
  8. Thanks, even better. As far as this being a hate fest, pfffttt!! We're having fun in the off season making fun of a rival. BIG FRIGGIN' DEAL. This was "one of the biggest upsets in NCAA history" after all. Go ahead and flame those of us you are still reveling in that lose but believe me it's not gonna go away because it's still FUN!!!
  9. It's unlikely we've met via one of my posts, welcome!
  10. This clip reminds me of the Holy Cross/Minnesota game. http://www.chumfm.com/MorningShow/bits/march24.swf
  11. I'm not worried. 200 out of thousands, not even worth a speed bump on our road to victory!
  12. No loss could compare to the number 1 ranked team in the country losing to the number eight ranked team in the country!! "One of the biggest upsets in NCAA history" Not even close!! *Hockey fix, ahhhhh....calm now*
  13. Because it's SO MUCH FUN and makes us feel good all over!!!!!
  14. It's the hockey, the hockey makes me do it! Need hockey...... Hello, my name is Sioux-cia and I'm a hockey addict.
  15. Just a little anecdote. A co-workers son wanted ZPar and Hales autograph when they were here for the Regionals. ZPar left without signing it so Hale took the kid's NJ jersey back to Jersey to get Zach's autograph for him. He mailed it back. The entire team had signed it!! That made one six year old very happy. Nice guy!!
  16. Happened to still have the Blackhawks/Oilers program and put together the following re. the Blackhawks. Don't know that it's going to add alot to the conversation but I found it interesting: 21 Canadian Players 4 American Players 3 Czech Players 2 Russian Players 1 Player each from Ukraine, Sweden, Finland and Kazakhstan Coach> Canadian Assist Coach> Canadian Assist Coach> Canadian Strength & Conditoning> Canadian Coach Goaltending Coach > Canadian Skating Coach> American Goaltending Consultant> Russian (Side note: Broadcaster> Troy Murray)
  17. My favorite Ludwig move (Don't remember the team, sorry.) There was a big gloves off fight in front of the net and Ludwig was standing between the blue line and the net. Some little (next to him!) $hit rushes up to him and starts swinging. Ludwig holds him arms lenght away by the front of his jersey as he slowly skates backward toward the blue line and away from the fight. Little $hit never lands a punch. The ref and linesmen have their hands full in front of the net. Ludwig then cold cocks this dude who goes down like a ton of bricks. Ludwig skates to the bench, sits down and watches the rest of the fight from there.
  18. Other than Phats, my favorites are the 'gentlemen' of Fighting Sioux hockey Archibald Ludwig Commodore Prpich See, I'm just a peace loving fan who goes to hockey to watch the game.
  19. I have dibs on row 4, section B!!! Even though we had season tickets elsewhere, we always got to the arena early enough to get 'our' seats behind the goalie. Seat backs fit nicely in a shadow frame. I have a seat back from Wrigely Field, signed by Dick Butkus (who actually played there before the move to Soldier's Field) in a nice frame. One friend asked me why I had a piece of quonset hanging on my wall.
