  1. Just heard on 1310 AM radio the anouncement will be made in about an hour! It's a bit after 10am now.
  2. Before any one gets off track here, it's not me, all my money is allocated for game worn jerseys.
  3. Did anyone get a sign up sheet for away tickets? I know they were included with our ticket invoice last year.
  4. Any money that's needed for the NC$$ issue has already been promised, is available and ready. This donation is not needed for that venture. UND alumni and friends are very generous, as proven by multi million dollar donations in this new century alone, NOT counting this new one. So how about those BIG NDSU contributors....
  5. You're in the wrong thread, nano. The Fighting Sioux name, et el, has it's own home. Unless, of course your only reason for asking after getting trumped is to flame? If that's the case, go home.
  6. Such a tease! I bet you drive the girls mad!!
  7. The suspense is killing me already. Name the man!!!!!
  8. Forgive my ignorance, How does money factor into the decision if we don't have a conference?
  9. James Ray contributed $8M to UND in 2002. http://www.UND.edu/president/reports/2002/html/18.html Lyle and Katherine Kasprick contributed $1M to UMC, large contribution to St. John's University, large endowment to College of St. Catherine's and to UND but I couldn't find amounts or what, if anything, that money was designated for. Both are contenders in the race. I didn't find anything about either one of these men that makes me think if it's one of them, the money will go to athletics. Wes and Vivian Rydell are big sports fans, so if its them..... Tomorrow will tell. Whoever is donating and where ever the money is going, we're damn lucky to have such a long list of contributing alumni and friends.
  10. Yep, outclassed then and now. You're here aren't you!?
  11. SiouxMD, I bow to you!!
  12. Unlike NDSU who, if you're an example, does not care for or place any importance on tradition, UND students know what the Nickel stands for and know it's ours. Won fair and square! Well maybe not fair considering how outclassed NDSU was at that game. Hey, with your attitude, what the heck are you doing on a UND sports board anyway?
  13. I'm hoping he isn't leaving.
  14. You're little guy hasn't developed that older, saturated with hormones Eau D' Hockey player smell yet. Just wait! That smell is a living being!! It will hurt you if given the chance! (Man, do I miss little guy hockey!!
  15. I'm not now and will never be in the Diamond or Emerald club level, I'm just grateful for the seats that I do have. No grousing from the cheap seats!
  16. Yeah! And he isn't leaving!
  17. Got mine today, same seats!! Hurray!!! Now to get the check in the mail before I forget or think that I already sent the check in because my yesterday memory is better than my today memory.
  18. OR remember that my wheelchair is not the toilet!!!!
  19. Called and talked to another young lady, this one knew something. Invoices were mailed out Monday, May 22, 2006 and payment is due June 15, 2006. Watch those mail boxes!! Not much time to get the check in the mail. I know if I don't mail it out the day I get it, I will forget!! Damn its a bit$h getting old! (No comments, Dirty!)
  20. I know Wes and Vivian and they are both very good people. I wouldn't be surprised at a big endowment from them to UND but one in the 10s of millions?!?
  21. RUMOR: Was told by a non-SS.com person that she heard that Chorney was leaving. Didn't hear/read it from a sports forum. I hope these rumors are just that>> rumors.
  22. Guesses>> Beet farmer? Phil Jackson with the stipulation the name and logo be changed? Foreign country thankful for the great pilots we're sending back to them? Eddie Belfour with the stipulation the name and logo be kept?
  23. Not true. I only know of one doc who wanted to go off call, he'd only worked for the Altru (and previous other names) system close to 30 yrs. There are several (so far) other less senior docs in his speciality who do take call. One doc left because his wife was starting her own business offering a service that Altru had. Altru didn't want the competition. Referrals for that service would not come from her husband due to his specialty. No conflict. The doc was told by Altru administration to tell his wife she couldn't start that business or he would be in BIG trouble with Altru. Others left for a variety of reasons, one of which is lack of respect by administration. The attitude has been do as we say and if you don't like it too bad. The Altru belief has been that the only successful practices are theirs and if you leave the system you're doomed! So you better put up, put out and shut up. I've been in and around the GF health system for 30+ years. There's more to what's going on at Altru than what they are telling the public. Not wanting to take call is NOT the reason for the steady flow out of the Altru health system. Money is also not a factor for the leaving. The docs that are branching out on their own are spending big bucks up front for modest returns. A vision of a better health system for the community, a better work enviornment, and a better life overall is worth more than big bucks to many of the 'defectors'.
