Two game worn Prp green autographed jerseys ( one with the Frozen Four patch), one white game worn autographed Prp jersey (with NCAA patch), one game worn white throw back autographed Prp jersey, one game worn white throw back autographed Porter jersey, one game worn white throw back autographed Zajac jersey, one game worn green autographed Schneidner jersey and one 2004-2005 game worn Parise helmut. Oh and I have a hockey stick used in practice signed by the team sometime between 1977 and 1980. It was given to my older son by his then babysitter's husband. Stu was the equipment manager (I think). My son played with it and the autographs are hard to read; part aging, part bad penmanship and part wear. I also have Ziegleman's Sioux winter jacket with zip out inner coat and his Sioux pull over jacket. And I have the usual assorted souvenier stuff.

The injunction had absolutely nothing to do with poor turn out. I don't think people who are against the name and logo attend UND sports events. The poor turnout was more likely due to 1) it's hunting season, 2) who we were playing against and 3) student apathy.

IMHO Friday night we got beat, plain and simple! Saturday night our boys worked hard to keep pace with a very good Seawolves team. Those guys were impressive. I hate "the it's the refs'' fault whine BUT at the most Saturday's game should have been a 2-2 tie. Friggin' Shepard calls a holding penalty when there clearly was NOT! I saw the so called penaltly without obstruction and THERE WAS NO INTERFERENCE. Then that son of a dog, IQ deficient, spawn of a devil, poor excuse of a man, let alone ref calls a penalty that was ignored all night and makes it a 3 on 5 game!!!! ARRRRGGGGHH!!!!!! If we had not had those two penalty calls, I would have said we were swept by the better team this weekend but I can only say that about Friday night. *mutter, mutter, friggin' a$$hole, mutter mutter*

Because this gentleman spoke about what happens in his tribe does not invalidate the facts that he speaks. YOU don't speak for your entire tribe, you don't speak for all Natives. Are your opinions more valid than his? No, they are not. I did do research on poverty, education, alchoholism, etc. on Indian reservations. And, they do occur in higher percentages than they do 'off the reservation'. I'm currently working on a reservation and know first hand the research did not lie. I did not limit my research to one tribe. The problems, sadly, are wide spread in the majority of U.S. Indian tribes and reservations. The Fighting Sioux name and logo did not create racism, it does not enable racism, and if they did not exist it would make no difference to those who are racists. No one who wears the Fighting Sioux name and logo does so because they are a racist. It's not an opportunity to say 'Hey everyone look at my percious, respected and honored jersey, I hate what it represents!' The opposing fans who yell derogratory remarks at our teams are not referring to Sioux Indians just as they do not refer to real Warriors, Seminoles, Illini, Aztecs, Irish, etc. THEY ARE HURLING INSULTS AT THEIR ATHLETIC RIVALS!!! If the Sioux name and logo were not around it would not 'unmake' a racist. A racist isn't someone who saw a name and logo and decided to hate that group of people. I don't have time to define racist in this venue, maybe later. Please, how are the name and loge dehumanizing? You were insulted? Name change proponents routinely insult name and logo supporters, Native American and not, on a routine basis. Welcome to the 'I've been insulted club', tee shirt available upon request following a large contribution to the other insulted club members.

There will be of hundreds of extra fans home for the holiday with nothing to do but try to get out of eating any more turkey disgused in casseroles, soups, sandwiches, UGH.... Go to the game!!! I'll be there!!! Just ordered my season tickets via telephone. Damn, I'm excited. Home for a week and a 'twofer' weekend!! Wooooo Whoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sons played for Coach Berg. Great coach!! I never thought about his retiring someday. He's going to be hard to replace!

Forgive my legalese ignorance.. When we win, if the win is based only on Counts I and II, and there has been no NC$$ membership vote to change policy, do we get to keep the name and logo?

Welcome, dIIfan. Thanks for the info. I guess if I had looked at your logo I would have known the answer? Wellllllll, I don't know if we're 'classy'. We are passionate about our Fighting Sioux sports and opposing views are usually welcome. If you read some past posts you'll see we can be pretty hard on our own teams but I gotta tell ya, if you come on SS.com to talk smack, the junk yard dog comes out in the best of us.
