Why would they do that?

We always stay in St. Paul at the Hilton Garden Inns. It's a short walk to the X via the Skyway. I like the convenience of not having to drive anywhere.

Just wondering, is Robbie Earl a Badger coach?

Well that was embarrassing and I don't mean the game. We had four Gopher fans sit in front of us and four more sitting in front of them. Throughout the game there was a lot of back and forth between them and Sioux fans, ALL in fun. They were actually nice twenty-something year old guys. During the game someone behind us threw food at them. One of them was going to throw it back but I warned him he would be thrown out of the arena if he did. They were a bit obnoxious because they were winning. But they weren't doing anything we wouldn't be doing if we were winning. At the end of the game, they were cheering Gopher chants, all PG, nothing anti-Sioux. A middle-aged Sioux fan took umbrage and pushed one of the Gopher fans. Gawd, how stupid!!! We and the kid's brother held them apart. Totally unnecessary, totally!!!!

The Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown. I got it via Orbitz. I did have to pay the total right away but if for some unforeseen reason I need to cancel, I do get a complete refund! I called the hotel to see if their rates would be lower booking directly with them but their rates were about $50/night higher!

I'm also in the upper level, 304. I received an email from USCHO awhile ago which stated F4 tickets would be for sale via Ticketmaster 11/19. I wonder if this is a reflection of decreased lottery requests? I found a room for $189/night less than a mile from the venue! Woooohooooo......

My 'issue' with Kelley is his holding Mrs. Delano up as an example of a perceived problem at our University. It's offensive to reference a 60+ year alum, fan, and university supporter in this manner.
-
Gawd, I hope that's what they'll say about me in the not too near future!!
-
This is where common sense needs to be applied. Mrs. Delano, IMO, is not advocating alcohol abuse. She is a long time UND supporter and fan. For her video to be yanked because there is alcohol abuse on campus (and everywhere else) is ludicrous. A more effective action would be to stop selling huge cups of beer or limiting the number of alcoholic beverages per person. But, no, that would have an adverse affect on shared revenue. Instead, we now have a 60+ year UND supporter as the face of 'how we don't want our fans to be portrayed'.

Had REA just stopped putting her on the big screen, it's likely few would have noticed. It became a big deal when UND and REA released their decision to the media. It became a big deal for me when this fan became an example of 'how we don't want to viewed' by the UND administration. It doesn't affect my life just like a lot of things that I oppose don't affect my life. That doesn't mean I'm going to stand by quietly and turn my back with a 'Hey, not my problem, bro' attitude. Not my style.

She's 85 y/o, well over the legal drinking age in ND. A UND alum, widow of a UND med school graduate, a supporter of UND and UND student athletes is being held up to current UND students and the country at large as a 'bad example!!! WTF Kelley!! WTF!!!

FSU mascot voted top in country http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/dpp/sports/fsu-mascot-voted-number-top-in-country-10042011 Fans 'honoring' the Seminole people. Non-Indian portraying Seminole Indian.

I can't believe I'm at this wedding instead of at the Ralph!!

I'm not thrilled with the addition of St. Cloud. Blaming Gino for doing the job he was hired to do, if indeed he had a hand in it, is wrong.

Obviously, more than you think....

Actually, college hockey is not 'significant' in Juneau. The two Alaskan college hockey teams are a considerable distance from Juneau. Travel from Juneau to other parts of Alaska is burdonsome and expensive. The fact that you are comparing the UND Fighting Sioux to professional hockey teams is quite telling. Our program has produced almost three hundred professional hockey players. So, it's only natural to compare us to NHL teams. Our alumni are nearly always identified as being the product of the University of North Dakota's stellar hockey program in print and video. So, bro, it's not necessary to watch Versus to hear or see our alum. When mom and dad took you to the Bahama's, your pilot was probably a UND grad. I've run into many a UND pilot in my travels. My Sioux gear invariably garners a 'Go Sioux' from them. I wonder if you get a similar response wearing your Bison gear from the cashier at Hornbachers? Nationally, UND is more well known as a sports team than App St football, whether you like it or not. Football may be king in the US but NHL hockey isn't far behind and what we do in hockey on the college level and what our alum do on the professional level, puts our name and logo on National televion on a regular basis. No doubt about it...., bro.

Yes, you are. I have traveled all over the U.S. in the past five years (for work) and everywhere, from an island off Juneau, Alaska to NYC, NY, strangers have spoked to me about Fighting Sioux hockey when I'm wearing FS gear. In addition, invariably, when one of our MANY professional sports alumni, is interviewed by the national media, they give a shout out to UND. I have not doubt the University of North Dakota is better known nationally than Appalachia State. http://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/13949-the-power-of-the-sioux-jersey/

I doubt it.
