I'm odd man out on this one. After we lost at the F4 wearing the black swifts, I don't believe they have any magic left in them. The magic this year, as far as I'm concened, is in the players wearing the FS logo on any jersey! GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!

The most frustrating thing to watch is all that passing, wheeling around, and 'setting up the shot' BEHIND our own net. I don't know how many times I yelled, 'JUST SHOOT THE F'in PUCK!!'. The hinges on the doggy door are loose because my 70 pound mutt kept slamming out of here because I'm screaming at the television set. *poor thing did get some extra doggy treats and petting after the game*

The deal made with the NCAA was that we need the support of TWO tribes to keep the name and logo. Beats me why the State agreed to two!?!

Last night there was discussion about UND goalie win's at the John. Did Philippe break that or tie that last night?

Could be, but my 'homer' eyes saw it as a hook around his ankle; which didn't hurt the play! Did you see the two women Sioux fan's? They're both cheering/clapping and young one asked the older one, "What happened?"

Just watched the goal for the gazillionth time. Goofy in back didn't hook Trupp. #2 Goofy did! The ref was directly behind the three players and had to see it happen. But, I agree, had there been no goal, there would have been no penalty! But, who cares!!! It WAS a goal!!

Just read the Strib's write up on the game. I didn't realize that this was Trupp's fourth game winning goal! Dam# good for a freshman. But, as Hak has said in the past, after Christmas, they're no longer freshmen! Watched Mansucko (?) after the game talking about the difference in the goalies and saying Philippe 'flops around like a fish'. Last night I saw one of ESPN's previews for Play of the Day and one was of an NHL goalie saving a goal exactly like Philippe did, falling on the ice and stopping the puck with his leg pads. Gawd, I know why he's called 'Mansucko'.

I certainly hope they look at last nights win and realize that the Goof's may (or should if they could) come out with guns smokin'. Our boys just have to play with the will to win and the energy to back it up!

During the WJ, those Canadian's, obnoxious as they were, sure kept the Ralph rockin'.

That's pretty typical Goofy fan response. Unless their team is up, they slither away like the true hockey fans they are. See the same thing at the Final Five.

Hey, you did good. Takes a lot to get things going especially on line! I know that those that participated appreciated your efforts!!

In the end, "piss poor play" was all it took to beat the Goofys last night. Your right in that the team needs to look at that game and come out smoking tonight! My poor heart can't take much more of these 'cliff hangers'!!

Knowing that Nick was able to go to the game and stayed for the whole thing is great!! I'm sure he has good days as well as bad. May his good days soon overtake the bad!!

On the 10 o'clock news last night, while waiting to see Trupp's fantastic goall, I heard that Spirit Lake was going to have the people on the rez voice their opinion about the FS name and logo. It there was a strong opinion to keep it, it would go to a vote. I think they said that it was the chair woman who said this but I wasn't paying attention when they first started talking. The news report also said that Standing Rock was standing firm on their opposition to the name and logo. So in reality, if the name and logo are ok with Spirit Lalke and Standing Rock isn't, we still don't get to keep the name and logo. Which brings up the question that a Dakota Sioux asked me. Why isn't UND talking to the folks on the Sisseton-Wahpeton-Oyate Reservation? Part of it is in North Dakota. They have come out against the name and logo but talking to them won't hurt anything. A nurse and lab tech at their health care facility are planning to bring their respective families to the Ralph. They're hockey fans.
