IMHO, the Fighting Sioux name and logo are a done (dead) deal and has nothing to do with the suspension. I know that GPL only looks at UND as a hockey rival but there's a lot more going on than hockey. There are multlimillions of dollars coming into the University in the form of grants and contracts that have NOTHING to do with hockey. IMHO, that is one of the reasons for the suspension.

Why are we comparing these two infarctions?? What Woog did was waaaay worse than Hak giving Adams the finger.

Should the WCHA suspend Hak, I can't believe that it will be in addition to the two games. I would think the suspensions would be concurrent. IMHO, two games is excessive. UND believes the punishment fits the 'crime'. Hak is Head Coach and likely held to higher standards than the average Joe. Again, it is what it is, let's move forward.

1. 99.99999% of Fighting Sioux hockey fans agree, it was a stupid move by Hak. 2. '....follow him for the rest of his life.' I can just hear a conversation ten years from now, "Just read another article on Hakstol, the coach who took the Sioux to the Final Four the first 3 (4, 5, 6, etc) years he was coach at UND. Oh yeah and remember that horrible, career ending bird he flipped to the ref, what's his name, the guy working at MacDonald's, you know who I mean...' Afro, I posted a couple of links for you about coaches flipping the bird. Neither one was Knight. I don't believe either one is in prison, living under a bridge or serving fries at a fast food establishment.

Kangas should not be judged on his 'freshman' status. He's 21 years old and has played in the juniors since leaving high school. He's a good goalie and we're going to be wishing he goes pro very quickly!!

Geeze Louise, Oldschool! Hak made a mistake. He apologised. His picture is all over the internet. You think that he doesn't feel terrible about what happened. Do you really think that his error in judgement defines who he and the Fighting Sioux hockey team are? Boy, all I can say at this point is I hope your not a father, employer, husband, friend, etc. Because we all (well maybe not you) make mistakes, in some cases, horrible mistakes. What a better man/woman does after a mistake is what helps defines his character. Get off your high horse, take off the hair shirt and stop flogging yourself; that's not what is going to get you into heaven!

You had the advantage of watching the incident about 50 times and making a judgement call for your brown and yellow. Do it on the ice, in the heat of the game, your teammate is playing injured and you see someone take a stick to him! This is hockey and decisions right or wrong are made in a split second. Anderson 'let up', Zajac saw it different. Defend all you want but it's clear to everyone, including the impartial, that the Goofs were covered with their own brown $#@! The Sioux aren't innocent but their not anyone's $itch either!
