  1. What is with Hak's flower on his lapel? Looks like it could spray any time. Maybe he is saving the spray for a discussion with the ref. ;)

Hak is wear a Poppy in memory of Canadians who served during War and made the greatest sacrifice. It is worn in the two weeks leading up to Rememberance Day on 11 Nov. If you would like to understand the significance of the Poppy read the famous Poem "In Flanders Fields".

  2. I think the biggest factor is that Kristo is currently Montreal's number-one rated prospect. We all know that Kristo would likely be better served playing another season at the college level rather than spending what is likely to be a year in the AHL. There is a rumor on this thread that Kristo has stopped attending classes, but we don't know that. So what we do know is that he's a valued commodity of the Canadiens, and I think he's playing at a level high enough to justify leaving.

Perhaps Hakstol can convince him to stay if he's thinking otherwise.

If he does choose to leave the likely number one reason is bolded within your post. There are many new Sioux fans who need to get a life.

  3. Just because I am a fan of the league doesn't mean that I have to have a specific rooting interest for a specific team does it? Can't I just be a fan of the WCHA without having to have an affiliation or am wrong?

No one would have a problem if you belong to all available team fan sites with exactly the same user ID. You never seem to give a direct or truthful answer when pressed which is why I now assume you are merely another Gopher troll who is now too embarassed to admit who his team is.

  4. As many of you may recall from seeing me at Sioux visits to CC and DU, I lived and worked in Colorado Springs for quite a few years (NORAD) before moving back to Canada. I got to know quite a few individuals who were closely connected to the Tigers and over a few pops they mentioned that The Don had left a very poisoned atmosphere in their hockey team's dressing room and that he had destroyed the hockey careers of a few kids, especially their goaltenders. When I mentioned these details on this forum about six years ago I got jumped on by all of the Gopher faithful who post on here. In their opinion I was total scum for even suggesting that their Hockey God "The Don" might be playing harmful mind games with the kids.

Well Gopher fans how do you feel about your coach this fine morning. He inherited and coached a decent team that was left behind by poor old Wooger but will leave you with nothing even remotely resembling a team. I hope all you hockey know-it-alls at UMTC have a nice summer. ;)

  5. That you can beat the last place team? One of the worst Michigan Tech teams in their history?

Did you even watch the game? The flurry that Frattin led halfway through the second period was a statement regardless of the WCHA opponent. I would have expected such a comment from a bitter Gopher fan but I guess the disease has now spread statewide?

  6. I wasn't trolling. Dell is 20th in the nation in save% and 6th in the WCHA. Not bad but not outstanding either. If your team has a weakness it's him.

And Briggs was a joke. You're right we beat Air Force despite Briggs. We won a LOT of games despite Briggs. Not sure why you think Gopher fans think of him fondly.

Speaking of guys who don't show up in big games, I would have traded Kessel for a bag of pucks.

  7. Not all of the webcast problems have been resolved. It is pretty clear that it lags behind the actual feed and every so often it jumps ahead to catch up and we all miss part of the action. I hope the site Techies can sort these problems out before the playoffs.

  8. The speculationand rumours are pretty sickening to read. Perhaps Kristo's frostbite could have been treated in GF, so have any of you ever thought of the possibly that the Montreal Canadiens team offered up the services of a good city specialist to ensure a speedy and successful recovery. Let's wait for the rest of the story and in the meantime nothing but good wishes to Danny, "Get Well Soon Kid".
